Shadow Storm

Short Biography

Shadow is in charge of the large, and quite varied, Department of International Aid and Affairs. Situated in the Administrative Offices on the western side of the Royal Courts of Canterlot, he runs the entire second floor which houses his department and also the smaller departments that handle more rural and day to day running's of the nation, from farming subsidies and administration all the way up to handling of sky ways and rights of flight. The Second floor rarely has visitors unless on official duty, nobility and politicians are strictly not allowed access to this floor for that reason. His predecessor, Lord Pebleton (Now retired) set up the floor in this way to encourage the country to grow in a manner that has no internal interference, and Shadow has ensured this continues to this day.

The Department that Shadow managed, IAA, deals mainly with the upcoming, smaller or even struggling nations of the vast world. From nations on the far outskirts, to smaller tribes living between borders of nations. They never interfere with inter political strife or actions, and are purely responsible to aid and management of support (Consider them like the humanitarian workers in war torn nations) but with the full backing of the nation behind them. They are currently deployed and working hard with the fringe tribes of The Echo in and attempt to establish permanent relations with the Dragons of the West. 

For when Shadow doesn't have work, which thankfully isn't a rare chance he does get days off, you can find him enjoying many different forms of entertainment. He could be either at the local theaters, over at the opera house, enjoying perhaps some time in the many libraries in the capital.
He can also travel a considerable amount too, either for work or for leisure. Due to his status, he is often given many advantages that a regular travel would not have. From VIP and escorted transport, to the finest hotels you could imagine (Though on this note, he generally doesn't enjoy these, he finds them far too flashy). He can also be found at the cultural and theatrical sites that said countries and cities he visits as well due to his enjoyment of the arts and history.
Otherwise, you can find him at the universities or schools, doing some education or acting as a professor when it comes to history of obscure nations and tribes.

Detailed Description (To note, these are figures that really need properly tested, pinch of salt okay!)

• Height: Roughly 1.8 Meter tall from Hoof to Head at full height, 1.6M at the shoulders and 1.4M to the chest
• Wing Span: Roughly 5 - 6 Meters from tip to tip
• Wing type is Scaly, this has been a .. mix up over the years between artists. Shadow has the scaly dragon type wings, Storm has the soft feathery type wings.
• Shadow's coat is made up of rather smooth outer feathers with thicker and more rough inner feathers. These give him the smooth and silky look he is known for, but also insulation, warmth and safety during flight or general travel. However his issue comes due to having scaly based wings, unlike his father Storm, Shadow is unable to bear long distance or high altitude flying. Whilst he is obviously no slouch, breaks similar to normal creatures are required.
• His small white streaks are meant to emulate his connection with the way Storm's work towards a thunderstorm with lightening. This is a tribal marking, and has history to it that I will hopefully explain.. one day >:| maybe
• Under his wings are also lightening effects, though to be fair. We forget these a lot anyway.. similar thing though, tribal markings
• Let is be known his tail is Long and yes it is on purpose, no I won't let you kink shame me.
• His eye's are indeed Red, ironically I don't think I ever specified this, it's just happened on it's own via artists! 
• His Cutiemark is a lighting bolt, dark outlines with white in the middle
• Oh and how could I forget, yes, those are fangs similar to all those other species. But no, he does not drink blood, or eat other creatures.. don't listen to the stories they keep telling the kids in that town. No stop! It's not true!

Assets & Property

Canterlot - Two locations.
Main Home - Shadow own's a large 2 bedroom apartment near the western side in what used to be the old trade and market quarter. The old quarter was redeveloped in to a much more modern set of buildings, using the old market square where people would shout and bargain for a more modern venue of events, meeting space, park etc. The old auction houses being knocked down and in their places the large merchant associations took a plot each resulting in five new 4-5 story office and distribution centres for them. And the old storage buildings and many outhouses were replaced with several large Appartement complexes, two gated and locked and 4 open to all.

His home is set in one of these two gated apartment complexes, his apartment is on the second floor, right hand side of the building. The two gated complexes are both 4 stories tall, with the very bottom consisting of utilities, staffing, concierge and general running of the entire complexes. That allows three stories for the apartments, of which there are 3 per level, and then a roof top garden and covered seating areas for reading, social gatherings and more. The walkways to these complexes are large metal staircases on the outer edges, which then lead to a long walkway that stretches in front of each apartment per floor. The walkways have their own little private seating area, a mail drop off spot, as well as general waste management and utilities. You can then enter your apartment and go from there.

Inside his apartment it is generally all open plan, the door opens you in to the middle of the apartment, where in you are greeted with a small entrance way to store items in to a cupboard, sit down to get ready, mirror and generally just a quiet peaceful space to decompress. Opening the next door, you entre the main room, on the left is a wall running from where you enter all the way down. There are three doors on this side, office & Study, 2nd bedroom & the master bedroom at the bottom. All bedrooms are ensuite with the office sharing the ensuite to the 2nd bedroom. On the right side, you have the Kitchen, it has attached to it a large counter space un a U shape and on the far side of the U is attached a bar area to sit at for breakfast, light conversation and so forth. The dining space is then just behind that, and a larger bar space separates the dinning space and the living space. With the living space comprising of a large U shaped coach that faces a TV, sound bars, speakers and all sorts of various tech. And at the very bottom of the room is a window that runs the entire length, from the far wall, in to the master bedroom and to the end wall.

Simple location really, he spends his smaller vacation days here but.. well he tends to be a little lost in to himself whenever he's here. Down and depressed may be a way to describe it, he let's himself be more him here, no suits and pipes here he is a simple pony just trying to get by and relax at long last

Travelling
Travelling is something I love to do and is implanted within Shadow, these are more of a come talk to me before you start RP's, as they need some planning on the locations and such. But don't worry, I have a large map to which we can choose from~

Personality

One way to describe him would be troubled in the mind. He holds a great many memories, of which many are filled with pain and torment. Suffering from many nightmares, horrid dreams and bad times.
He manages to get by simply by focusing so much in his work, he's rarely any where else and due to that he has created an amazing many years of excellent work for both his staff and his department. And this fills him with a large sense of pride, he's very proud of himself for his achievements.

But that doesn't mean he won't regret many things he's done in his life, he simply doesn't want to remember them any longer, and move on in his life. Never know, you may just trigger a nerve and bring them back out again. And if that be the case, expect a much different creature.

As a general day to day pony however, he's rather lord like, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have a heart. He will help others, but they must under stand his position. He cannot just help anyone. And really he simply won't anyway.

Now then, what about the things I didn't learn whilst studying here in Canterlot, well how about this for a kick back to the glory days hmm?
I am quite adept in my hunting, gathering and survival. All of which have been self taught over a good period of time, I first set off in to the world when this body turned sixteen, and spent a good seventy years roaming the lands and exploring. I've a map that's got many locations on it you wouldn't even think exist! Oh the life I've led, I can take you all over the world and show you skills and talents lost to the ages, still held in the arms of those age old traditionalists, and it's all coming together slowly in my single body as I learn as much as I can!
