Cerin is a born and raised Elnin of the Palu'au islands. Growing up, she saw the many ships and visitors of the isles, and became curious of the travlers. Hearing tales of adventure and listening to the various styles of music caused this young Elnin to eventually decide that she too wanted to travel. Though, her means were a bit sketchy at first, once she had her footing she traveled on her own to discover not only the tales of others, but to learn of new and exciting ways to play music.

After traveling back home from a long time away from it, Cerin ran across an unusual sight on the beaches of Palu'au; a crowd gathered around listening to some very unusual tunes coming out from a blue Elnin's instrument.

Unable to catch a talk with the Elnin who played, Cerin eventually asked around to find out the name of the Elnin was Val, who had been playing weird music that he called "New Wave" and claimed he had a band, though he had only been seen preforming by himself.

She eventually was able to talk to the strange Elnin called Val, who did talk about his band to her and his music style. Her interest in his playing caused to two to talk more, eventually causing them to become friends. Though, both of them as travelers had to leave, they promised to meet each other on the same beach they started speaking every couple of months to catch up.
