Hina's Links
“Maz is a bit of a handful, but she’s willing to listen to me, thankfully. She has strong emotions; and yes, she can tend to be a little bitter or rude most times; but she has a good heart and an unexpectedly strong spirit. She cares about the Shellbacks like family. I’ll keep watching over her, just as I promised Korune.”
“I don’t trust a lot of people, but Hina has always taken care of me. She’s like a big sister, and a lot of us in the Shellbacks can agree with that. If she’s got an order for me though, I’ll follow it. If I don’t like it, I’ll just complain the whole time…but she’s reasonable. I’m glad that she’s still here with us.”
Hina audibly sighed. “Morris. A handful and definitely the biggest asshole in our little band. I’ve punished him many times for letting his antics and greed take over one too many times — but he’s useful. Surprisingly enough, he adores his place in the Shellbacks and won’t betray us. This I can trust.”
“Good ol’ Hina keeps watch over all of us. YES, I do get on her nerves, and YES, she’s grabbed me by the neck and beaten me up for doing too much, BUT she says I’m a VALUBLE ASSET to the Shellbacks! See! I’m irreplaceable! Unlike a certain SOMEONE who’s name rhymes with KORUNE.”
“I know the others are pretty sour about it still. Morris is stinking with resentment and Maz is as bitter as ever, especially; but I hope none of that makes you regret your choices. I’m proud that you wanted to change things for yourself. We’ve got no bad blood here, Korune…but we do miss you.”
"I gotta say, sometimes I do miss y'all as well, just know that you're welcome around my shop. Maybe someday we could go out for a drink or two, not sayin' that as a merchant, but as an old friend"
“I know well of that Vivenaiphi. She’s nothing but trouble to avoid for me. She likes to push my crew around a little too much for my liking. I’m not scared of her, though. I’ve dealt with worse beasts in my past. If she tries anything on my crew, its as good as over for her.”
"I've heard rumors in the waves that she used to be a ferocious pirate in her youth. Why she wastes her time with such a crew is beyond my comprehension... She'd be better off shedding her scales and swimming away from the Shellbacks. We may be rivals but she has gained more of my respect than the eel has."
"The Shellbacks and I don't see eye to eye but I don't mind Hina too much. She cares about her people; more than she seems to value her own life. That kind of determination you just have to respect."
“I already warned you one too many times to get out of our way, Kalyani. Next time, I may not be so kind as to let you go alive.”
"Ha! Threats from a common ruffian. You do not scare me, Hina. I respect your capabilities; especially in comparison to Morris but you genuinely think you could take me in battle? Well, I always welcome a challenge!
"Miss Hina and I might not exactly be friends but I'd say we're on good terms. She's a good lady! She's a very admirable woman, the most admirable even! I know I'm not supposed to like her but I can't hate someone who has a love for her crew like she has."
“I’m just here on business. I’ll take a drink while I’m at it though.” Hina seemed a little more relaxed in this place, but did not let her guard down. “I’ll stick with what I’ve got, thanks.”
"Hina! So good to see you! You're looking as well built as ever. So, do you think you'd ever have an interest in competing in the Golden Poro arena? I bet you could kick anybody's ass! Hell, I bet you could even beat Vill!"
"You look like someone who could rock a tattoo. I'll even do it for free if you need more incentive."
