Birdie lives and works on a small 230 acre farm in the countryside with the old woman who commissioned him. He does the daily chores and tends to the land along with a handful of other farmhands, as well as act as caretaker to the elder and see to her needs. They're a very tight-knit little group, not unlike a family, and have come to trust and rely on each other. As such, Birdie and the rest of his flock can be wary of outsiders, particularly those that come from the city. Nonetheless, he is a gentle soul at heart, and does his best to be hospitable.

Belle
[ Friend ] She lives on a vineyard neighboring his farm. Though they are vastly different in demeanor and background, they became fast friends when she visited and was eager to learn and explore and help out (even if she isn't strong enough to do a good deal of the work). She bakes for him and Birdie brings her fresh eggs. He feels very protective of her.
