An entertainment Pearl at his core, Roy is known for being a drastically different man off stage. While all bright grins and charming words when in the spotlight, he's a rather reserved person without the warm light on his neck. In fact, he spends most of his down-time in libraries reading or in his room practiing for his next big show, almost never seen by the public eye. While he is a nice man, he does avoid people at all costs, even if he knows them well. Of course, this is all in the pursuit of knowledge and the perfection of his performances. Can he truly be blamed for his random disappearences?

- He's based on the young tripod spidrfish (Bathypterois Grallator).
- Always sporting something "fancy" even off-stage, Roy has an elegant taste.
- His glasses are more of an accessory than anything.
- Roys eyes, freckles, and colorful fintips can all produce light at his command. Great for shows!
Likes
Roy enjoys singing, reading, and learning like any good nerdy Pearl. He also has a deep entrancement with anything that glows.
Disikes
A rather posh Pearl, Roy cant stand the heat, both literally and figuratively. Similarly, he harbors a lot of disdain for anyone smarter than him.

- Roy has quite a few names! Royale, Regulus, and Roy.
- He wasnt supposed to be a singer, infact, his primary purpose was/is "magic", or illusions.
- Roy loves gossip depsite his normally reserved attitude.

Story
Purpose.
pur·pose - [ˈpərpəs] : the reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists.
Bound by the ideals of purpose, Roy is a very, very loyal man. He finds there is no use in fighting the beings that created him, or the ideas that keep him alive. If he was not made to sing, or to perform, then what is he? Nothing, no one, that is what. With such strong beliefs, there is surely nothing can tear him down, not even his own self-loathing.

A hater of all things living, Roy finds himself disgusted with the man in his mirror. Pearls born from the idea of those little creatues on planets in the untamed wild was no new concept, but it will always find a way to break him down. He couldnt hate every gem formed with an animal in mind, no, for that would mean he hates his own sister. However, he can hate himself just fine. Somedays, he really wishes he couldnt see his reflection, only seeing the worst a man could in those purple eyes of his.
Love.
love - [ləv] : an intense feeling of deep affection.
Love. Roy finds himself disgusted at the topic. It hindered, no, it hurt. There was no good reason to love, for all it brought was sickening feelings and gutteral pain. Every inch of him hated that word. What purpose did it serve? To drag one down was the only plausible explanation. Only the greedy and selfish loved, and he was neither of those words.
If one was to find themselves deplorably smitten over another, than they were weak, someone unfit of serving the ever lasting Empire and its glorious Diamonds. Love was no beautiful thing, it was a disease, a virus spread through touch and soft lips. Only was it venom that seeped from sweet honey-laced kisses, bleeding deep into the skin from where it laid. Despicable.
