A Pearl produced in Abyssal Reef, Roy has always held himself to high standards. Always practicing, forever busy with little tasks or performances from the very day his feet struck the ground. To him there was no need to dawdle when there was work to do.

Though as time passed, he found himself with more freetime and less things to keep his hands busy. So, he turned to books and knowledge for solace. Afterall, he still needed to be productive, just perhaps not in the same way.

Roy has always been a simple man, and Lucian knows this. As Roys career grows and his name spreads, more oppurtunities appear to him. Through the growth of his fame, he meets Lucian, a charming Pearl with honey-sweet words. Luci, by his insistence, is what Roy calls him. A brilliant flash of soft pinks and whites, poisonous beauty, that is Luci.

Lucian tells him those sickeningly lovely words, and Roy is weak. He hates this feeling, like a knot in his throat, food he cant keep down. Is this love?

Suddenly, theres far too much on his plate. Performances, meetings, a relationship he relies far too much on. He wants to ask for help, but he didnt want to seem weak, not to Luci. He didn't want to corrupt, no, it just happened. Roy had so much to do, and by the time he got better everything had already crashed to bits. There was nothing left for him to do, he would rather have too much than nothing.

Corruption was an odd thing, painful too. It changed someone, it broke them. Roy never thought he'd be a victim of this, but yet here he is, eyes matte and dull like stone. No light broke into his eyes, cracks split his face into millions. He was a disgusting sight, as Luci had said, someone undeserving of redemption. But Lucian was a gracious soul, he would help Roy, starting with a blindfold. Luci was right, it was better to hide something so gross.
