• It's rare to see her awake during the day. Her favorite time of day is sunset, though.

About

Mao is a bit anti-social. She isn't purposefully mean, but has a tendency to be extremely suspicious of other people and is quite easy to irritate. She is very sensitive and often will get mad if she feels like someone is criticizing her over something. Mao really feels lackluster and plain and this leads to her acting very defensive of herself and what she likes. She overcompensates for her feelings of inadequacy by focusing very hard on honing her bass playing skills. Making music is something she feels very passionate about and something she considers to be hers, and uniquely hers.

Backstory (for now)

Mao was the firstborn daughter to a prominent family in a small town. Prominent for a reason, her family has a long history of being mediums able to communicate to spirits. Only the women have this ability, and so her birth was highly anticipated. Unfortunately it was realized after a few years she could not speak to the undead- this has led her to have a major inferiority complex. Made only worse when her younger half-sister turned out to be a prodigy with impressive abilities. Even though both are equally loved, obviously more attention was shown to her sister, which caused Mao to feel extreme jealousy towards her. They have a one-sided rivalry of sorts where Mao is convinced her sister is constantly out to get her and make her life hell (in reality her sister thinks she's the coolest person in the world!).
