In a universe of steampunk, a large city where there really isn't much wildlife or greenery. The only animals there are robotic or another race. There's more than just humans, there are anthropromorphic animals that live in society with the people. Some get along nicer than others. Bishop was born, mother human, father cat. She was born with both of their traits. During a little field trip during college, she gets bitten by a radioactive spider. She doesn't understand her new powers, and sucks at using them, but she has fun with them non the less. One night, she lets a man get away after killing a cashier. She was protecting a child, and let him get away for the safety of the child. The man gets away, driving in a high speed chase until he died in a crash. Bishop's parents were in that crash and lost their lives, after that she dropped out of college and struggles through life, while also taking care of her two younger siblings. Her parents didn't have a lot to leave her and her siblings, so she was unable to stay in her childhood home due to money. She stays in a messed up bad apartment and begins her hero work as Spiderclaw. She ended up taking in her two younger siblings. She tries to keep her Spider Claw identity a secret, but they both found out by finding her suit one day while she was at work. .

As Spider-Claw she swings through the city, fighting crime and saving the people. She gets a job as a barista and saves up for a better apartment. One of the other workers at the coffee shop grows close with Bishop, her name is Mabel. An art student who always finds herself up at the coffee shop grows close with the two as well, her name is Adaline. The 3 became fast friends.
