rhys is a warm, strong, and caring strudel. just like the rest of the baseball crew, his filling came from a stadium snack bar, and he now resides in Outfield with the rest of the them. a bad spike at first base left rhys with chronic pain and a limp, he uses the straw for a cane, but he still loves baseball as much as any of them. his calm exterior naturally inclines people to look to him as the leader of any group he is in. he is mature beyond his years, and certainly more mature than nola, who is one of his best friends. he considers himself cy's caretaker, because cy can become shy and withdrawn. rhys loves him intensely, and would do anything for him.
