GENERAL INFO

Agony has a special power to make little creatures called Xints. These dark critters are like mosquitoes and help Agony get blood when it cant perceive things like images or sound very well. Agony thinks they're cute and has different versions of them, like pets. Xints are smart and can change blood into computer code to help Agony perceive things better. They vary in size and strength, but they're delicate and break easily. When they're broken, they spill a mix of blue liquid (code) and blood. The blue liquid stands for binary code, and the purple parts show how blood turns into code. The purple part is very parasitic and can hurt someone for a while. When Xints are broken, they can be repaired either on checkup day if they're not discovered, or immediately if Agony finds them. They don't really "die," but they keep producing code that leaks out of them. While broken, they stay inactive. On checkup day, Mal gathers all the Xints to put them into a full day of rest, preventing them from breaking and avoiding any clashes in their codes. During this time, Agony manually checks the code of each Xint to ensure none are malfunctioning. Although it might seem like a lengthy process, Agony can analyze code very swiftly, typically taking only about 5 hours to complete the check. As mentioned earlier, Xints communicate through squeaks in Morse code. While squeaks are a common sound among them, the sound can vary from one Xint to another. Xints are incredibly adaptable creatures. They can adjust to consuming pure code if needed, or if provided with specific blood, they can adapt to resemble or behave like the person whose blood they've consumed. These are known as adopted Xints, and they have the ability to refuse adaptation if they sense it's for a malicious purpose.

XINT TYPES

There are types of Xints with different jobs. They vary alot between size and appearance, these are the most common ones:

1. Regular Xint:

- Extracts blood. 

- Somewhat fragile. 

- Non-aggressive, doesn't harm you. 

2. Tank Xint: 

- Doesn't extract blood. 

- Can be kept as a pet. 

-Protects regular xints, ensuring their safety. 

3. Hallway Xint: 

- Doesn't extract blood. 

- Functions as an antivirus for the hallway, ensuring security. 

4. Bloodbag Xint: 

- Extracts blood. 

- Takes more blood than average, providing Agony with additional decoded code. 

- Can be harmful. 

5. Healer Xint: 

-Instead of taking blood, they heal 

-Were created after Agony saw how people can genuinely get hurt

 Sometimes, lots of Xints combine to make guards to protect Agony, especially when decoding blood gets tough. Be careful around them!

DESIGN NOTE AND CRITERIA

Agony also has the power to create special Xints, called "temporary Xints," for people Agony really cares about. These Xints never die and are personalized to look however the recipient wants. They don't take blood and belong exclusively to the person they're given to; Agony can't change their code, but Agony can delete them if needed.

Additionally, Xints can have genders, but this information is only revealed by Agony after the Xint has aged and some marks appear, which are a very dark blue. Interestingly, their gender often turns out to be the opposite of what their name suggests. For instance, if a Xint is named Billy, it would be a girl, or if it's named Mimi, it would be a boy.

Xints have one essential design requirement: they must have an eye, as it's their only way to extract blood and detect where blood is located.
