Desortoise

many years ago, people were trying to construct a road. there appeared to be a large rock in the way, so the people moved it. however, it reappeared in the same place the next day.

the people moved the rock again. when they found it in its original spot once more, the people decided to build the road around the rock instead.

once the road was finished, the "rock" grew a head and four stocky legs. the people were shocked! they've called desortoise the mystic stone ever since.

• their bodies are famously white with thin, black stripes.
• they have gold spurs on the backs of their legs.
• their presence is said to be a sign of peaceful, prosperous regions.
• it periodically adds sticks to its shell for stability. other fairies and even people will give them sticks too, as well as add them to places the desortoise has a hard time reaching.
  • they don't reward others EVERY time they do this, but the locals use them to remind others that doing good deeds is good regardless of anything you might get out of them.

• gold is the color of

• white is the color of
  • cleanliness,
  • humility,
  • purity,
  • sacredness,
  • simplicity,
  • harmony,
  • peace,
  • devotion, and
  • tranquility.
