If you hear distant singing gradually getting louder, Ribbon may be coming your way! Always in a good mood, this reading teacher can't help but sing her happiness out all the time. Her songs can be high pitched and full volume, and probably are not the best to hear if you happened to have a headache. They are also catchy which makes an impression on her younger students. This practically multiples her musical force, creating a chaotic atmosphere should it get quickly out of control!

Speaking of lack of control, if you hear her coming, you had better step aside, or more so dive for the floor as she's flying by fast! You might notice her wings are upside down, and this causes her to have no control over what direction she goes. It doesn't help that Ribbon has the habit of using her wings more than her feet, and this causes much grief and panic to anyone within her proximity. Nevertheless, Ribbon always gets where she needs to go, even though she might not make a good landing.

Despite her rather random and possibly accident-prone ways, many befriend Ribbon for her cheerful attitude. She also gained the status of being a Bowcracker which got her a lot of respect from the skullcracker society. She spends her time keeping light and always trying to spread smiles across others' faces. You can count on Ribbon to stick by you to uplift you! (or give you a happy song that sticks in your head)

✩Mini Backstory

Ribbon and her big brother grew up in a coastal town. As a very young child, Ribbon was determined to fly despite her upside down wings giving her trouble. Her brother would always have to stick close to her to make sure she didn't get hurt during landings. Often flying along the seashore, Ribbon would have to be rescued from the waters whenever she accidentally landed in them. It was a tough time for her family because of this, but they never discouraged her from flying since that was when she was happiest. When the two grew up, Ribbon and her brother moved to the big city nearby due to her brother's fishing job.

During her college days, Ribbon studied art and music, hoping to get a career in either of them. This was when she first met Pawki and Daydream, and the three became the best of artist friends! Ribbon's singing talent was recognized by agencies, and they expressed interest in working with her while she was still finishing her degree. Before she knew it, they had made her a music star over night! Now known as Nya!La across the world, Ribbon had to quit school to meet the demand of her shows.

It was an exhilarating experience, and she'd fly over fans singing at various concerts that had technology few had seen. It was a ton of fun, but a lot of pressure, not to mention Ribbon had missed her friends and family a lot during her tours. Anytime she tried to visit them, another event had come up that forced her to cancel outings with close friends many times. This made her feel as if she were unreliable, and she could slowly feel herself being distant from those she cared about.

One performance, Ribbon was distracted by the troubling thoughts in her head. It was gusty that night, and one of the banners were blown off their poles. She didn't see it in time before she got tangled up in it, frightening her and causing her to fall mid-flight. The shock had tighten her hard patches, and she crashed into a mantibab fan, shattering their horn with one of her arm hard patches. Despite everyone saying it was an accident Ribbon couldn't control, Ribbon was horrified that she hurt someone due to her inattentiveness. She made a vow to herself to never use her hard patches again, and soon after disappeared from all her scheduled performances.

After a year of hiding back at in her hometown, Ribbon decided it was time to change her life's focus. She styled and dyed her hair, and attempted to make a new identity for herself. During this time she had earned the status of Bowcracker after a journey she went on to figure out what to do next. Although she accepted the award, she tried to avoid her popularity getting too big in fear that the attention would reveal that she used to be Nya!La.

After talking to Pawki and seeing how happy she was with her newfound teaching career, Ribbon decided to go back to school to become a reading teacher. Reading to children was a task she enjoyed when she used to babysit, and she was always passionate about reading as many books as possible. When she finished her schooling, she was invited to Sweet Melody Academy because of the recommendation from her friends. She was reluctant at first due to singing reminding her of her past career, but she caved in after falling in love with the idea of teaching children through music and art.

Nowadays, Ribbon flies around the school hallways (despite it being against the rules) singing without any restraint or fears. She became close to her friends once more, and made even more since then! She's always looping and zipping through the sky, hoping to crash into-- er, find a new friend on the ground below!
