Lotus is quite the easygoing and good-natured lass, quick to make friends and involve others in things that she loves. Always wanting others to feel included and part of whatever activity she's doing. She can be sympathetic about people's hardships, allowing her to easily make friendships and connect with others very easily.

Lotus is well aware of social etiquette having been raised in royal courts and noble circles. While she is the youngest of her siblings, lotus is not reckless and takes any task or job quite seriously. She has a solid work ethic, diligently wanting to prove her worth. Though she knows how difficult a task this is and doesn't want to be a burden to others. Doing her best to take into account whomever she's working with so that she doesn't become a lagging tail.

Lotus has an easy time understanding people's feelings, leaning more to an emotional empath in this aspect. While she may not have as much worldly experience she understands the struggle of wanting to be seen and recognized for what she can contribute. It doesn't stop her from trying to understand those who she wouldn't be able to empathize with as easily. She will happily sit and listen to those who need a friendly ear or a shoulder to lean on when things are tough.

Raised in nobility, lotus knows the importance of formal and respectful behavior. She knows that acting like this can lead to positive relations especially in some more formal circles like nobility and business. Though she is not disapproving of informal behavior, she knows the weight that formality can carry and that others may not know it as well as she does. She tries to be relaxed but even she will slip back into these mannerisms when she's nervous or uncomfortable.

Lotus is the easily excitable sort of person when around others, having to reign in her bouncy nature at times. Her zeal for things like adventuring and community work or projects can be infectious. Her high energy can be overwhelming to those who aren't used to being around the cheerful little cuttlefish.

Lotus prefers not to openly talk about her noble background as people tend to see her as an easy target. She knows that even though she would rather be honest, lying and keeping secrets of her royal status is for the best. Happy to pass it off as coming from a wealthy or well off business family because of this habit she tends to keep a lot of her past secret. Making it hard for her to feel like she's truly part of a group though she hopes in the future to change this.

While lotus likes to act as if she's sure of herself, the truth is she simply isn't. She can be very reluctant to take action thinking that there could be something smarter or more well thought out that could be done instead. Getting stuck in her own thoughts but with a little reassurance and positive reinforcement she can move forward. She is still learning to have more faith in her own decision making skills.

Lotus is not very knowledgeable about the customs outside of her island but has researched a bit before leaving to join the GCSF’s ranks. She can still be easily caught off guard by some things and will apologize for her lack of experience. She wants to learn more about them and will eagerly ask for whatever information people have on this or any topics she might be a bit lacking in. While she is not entirely naive to people or their behavior, a skilled trickster/con man would still be able to pull a trick on two on the princess.

History

The youngest child of King Sargasso’s 5th concubine Halimeda, Lotus grew up in a very privileged environment without needing for anything. Though she has lived a very carefree lifestyle, she is far from being spoiled because she knows full well how good her life is due to her closest friend, Beauregard. Beau was brought into their home by her mother when lotus was only ten years old, she immediately knew that the malamar was a good person but a very lonely one. Knowing that her parents were looking for a butler for the young princess, she happily nominated her new friend Beau. Her parents fully agreed with the princesses decision. As she grew older, she would learn how the disdain that people carried for her best friend, she would always stand up for beau. Knowing that people wouldn't go against her word since she carried the weight of her noble title even if she was the youngest, not many would fight her defense of beau. The two would become quite inseparable, beau even taught the young princess how to fight and defend herself though it would become obvious that lotus had trouble standing up for herself in noble circles.

Most of her days were uneventful until her father claimed that he wanted to set her up to be married to a nobleman that she barely knew. Lotus knew it was simply her father wanting to make sure that she would be well taken care of but she couldn't let this happen. She was old enough and capable enough to take care of herself, she had to prove that she could. She had heard of the GCSF’s efforts over the last few years and knew that would be her way of proving that she was able to defend and protect herself. She told her plan to her mother who surprised her with obvious and clear support of her plan, when asked the older woman simply laughed saying she was quite wild in her youth. The two exchanged a long hug and she would go. Having written her father a letter explaining that she would not only prove her ability to defend herself and didn't need a husband to protect her but also to make connections for their little island kingdom.

On her way to the boat she was stopped by her butler Beau before she could explain anything; he simply wanted to go with her to help her and keep her safe on her journey. Lotus would give her best friend a running hug and thank him for his support before the two of them would get on the next boat to kala island. After getting to the GCSF headquarters the two would run into Tsubaki and Caleb co-leaders of Team Everbloom Assembly, where the two would join their rescuers team, ready to prove her worth with this team.
