Mothy lives deep in the mountains, far from the life he once lived. He attends to Lepidolite's needs, after a... Strange start. Mothy's mother has been ill for most of his life. He resented caring for her and losing his own childhood. He felt as though he had never been truly cared for, so he left. At the same time, he feels guilty leaving behind his only family... He sends home a large portion of every paycheck he receives from Lepidolite. Originally, he had lied about his skills and claimed to be a magic tutor in an attempt to secure more money for her. When it became clear he could no longer lie about his skills, he decided to stay with Lepidolite as a servant and companion.

Mothy is mature and conflict avoidant. He's not often taken by whims and uses his head more than his heart. He thinks of himself as a person that's not very endearing or interesting, so he tries to avoid others. The solitary life of a mountain dweller suits him nicely.

Mothy is estranged from his mother. Lepidolite is something of a guardian to him.
