Itsuki was born to an old, wealthy, well-known Japanese family. His family had a legend about them-- That way, way back when the world was new, a generous kitsune blessed Itsuki's family and said they'd have powers beyond imagining. Though as time went on, the legend became a simple bedtime story. When he was younger, his life could be described as 'serene' and 'perfect'. However, when he grew older and learned more about his parents wealth, it turned out that his family had been keeping secrets for a very, very long time. They were involved in money scams, drug smuggling, the Yakuza, basically everything that could get them a lot of money quickly, they did. They fronted as an insurance company, though. Upon learning the truth, Itsuki became disenfranchised with his family. He drifted away, beginning to do his own thing. His father, however, tried pulling him back in. It worked at first, and Itsuki was taught self-defense via mixed martial arts and swordfighting-- Upon his parents request.

He never thought he'd have to use his skills. Not until the day, when Itsuki was just 20 years old, when a rival Yakuza group decided that his family had become too powerful. They killed his parents, his younger sibling, and his aunt and uncle. The only reason Itsuki was left alive was because he wasn't home that day, he'd taken a different bus route home from his martial arts class. Upon coming home and finding his parents and family dead, he vowed to get revenge by wiping as much crime from this earth as possible. During this extremely emotional moment, he unlocked the power that the generous kitsune gave his family long, long ago. Turns out, one needed extreme emotional turmoil to unlock the ability.

The 'abilities', as it turns out, were quite interesting. He could manipulate fog/smoke and 'disappear' into it, he could summon spectral weapons, and he had enhanced senses, as well as enhanced speed/agility/strength/stamina. Using these newfound abilities, and donning a decorative ancestral mask his parents had placed on a shelf of their home, he took the name 'Inari' and set out to find the villains who killed his family. He did find them, gloating about what they had done. After taking all of them out, he now roams the world, looking for any crimes that need to be snuffed out. He also still owns that insurance company to provide him with the funds needed to do what he does.
