Overview

Rhozir, a captivating figure, illuminates every room he enters, both metaphorically and literally. His presence is like a sunbeam, casting warmth and curiosity upon those fortunate enough to encounter him. Yet, despite his radiance, Rhozir remains an enigma—a master of secrets and a weaver of shadows. Kindness is woven into the fabric of his being. He possesses a gentle spirit, yet his lips remain sealed when it comes to personal matters. Rhozir thrives in the realm of mystery, deflecting inquiries with practiced ease. Perhaps it is fear that drives him—the fear of vulnerability, of allowing others too close. So, he plays the game of deflection, skillfully diverting attention away from himself. But beneath the cheerful melodies lies a shadowed history, a symphony composed with notes of melancholy. Rhozir’s gaze, those portals to his essence, sometimes reveal the burden he bears. Someone dear to him—perhaps a sibling—was lost, In response, he weaves this sorrow into his music, crafting compositions that merge lively tunes with poignant echoes. Banished from his tribe, Rhozir guards the reasons behind his expulsion like a dragon hoarding treasure. The clan’s relentless pursuit only deepens the mystery. What pivotal role did he play? What transgression led to his exile? And why does he now bear the label of a fugitive? His small, rundown house harbors secrets within its weathered walls. Hidden compartments yield old letters, dried flowers, and antique keys—a testament to Rhozir’s fascination with forgotten stories. Whispers circulate: he trades these tales for enigmatic favors, weaving connections in the shadows. Dancing on the edge of light and darkness, Rhozir’s cheerful demeanor belies a profound understanding of life’s complexities. When pressed about his past, he laughs, deflecting inquiries with grace. “We all have our shadows, darling,” he says, “Mine waltzes with the stars.” Optimism and melancholy entwine within him—an intricate tapestry. His optimism serves as a beacon, guiding him through life’s twists and turns. Yet, the constellations of his secrets remain, charting a course through the night. Rhozir seeks something—or someone—beyond the veil, and the universe holds its breath, waiting for the next chapter of his enigmatic tale.

Story

The Past

In a realm where magic weaves through the very fabric of existence, Rhozir was born under the Eclipse of Dual Fates, a rare celestial event prophesied to bestow great power—and great sorrow—upon the child marked by its shadow. His parents, leaders of the Zephyr Tribe, were both revered and feared for their command over the elements. Rhozir inherited this affinity, but with it came a curse; he could illuminate the darkest corners of the world, yet his own heart remained shrouded in darkness. As a boy, Rhozir's closest companion was his younger sister, Lirael. They were inseparable, two halves of a whole, until a fateful night when a rival tribe attacked. Amidst the chaos, Lirael vanished, taken or perished, none could say. Rhozir's light dimmed that night, and his heart fractured. The years that followed were a blur of grief and rage. Rhozir's art became his solace, his silent scream into the void. His music, though beautiful, were tinged with an aura of loss that unsettled all who heard them. The tribe grew wary of the sorrow he carried, fearing it would bring misfortune. Then came the Night of Whispers, when the Zephyr Tribe's sacred relic, the Crystal of Aether, was stolen. Suspicion fell upon Rhozir, whose sorrow had turned to bitterness. Though innocent, he was banished, cast out to wander the lands with his grief as his only companion. Now, Rhozir roams from place to place, a fugitive not from justice but from his past. His house, filled with relics of a life once lived, stands as a testament to his search for redemption and perhaps, one day, reunion with the sister he lost. His laughter may ring hollow, but his hope—a flickering flame in the vast darkness—remains undimmed. For Rhozir knows that every night, no matter how dark, gives way to dawn.

The Present

Rhozir’s optimism is a gentle flame that illuminates his path, a beacon of hope in the tapestry of his wanderings. He faces each new horizon with a steadfast belief in brighter days, his spirit undimmed by the shadows of his past. His music, a reflection of his inner light, dances through the air, a symphony of possibility and promise. Yet, when the melodies fade and the conversations turn to tales of yore, Rhozir’s smile becomes a silent guardian to his history. He deflects with grace, his words a delicate ballet that skirts around the edges of his story. The loss of Lirael, a chapter he holds close, is a narrative he chooses not to share, preferring instead to look forward with unwavering hope. In this way, Rhozir remains an enigma, his secrets kept in the quiet spaces between notes. His journey is not one of solitude, but of selective sharing, where his optimism is the gift he offers freely, and his past, a treasure he keeps locked away, safe within the vault of his resilient heart. Rhozir’s quest for redemption and his sister is a silent pilgrimage marked by discreet yet purposeful activities: Whispered Inquiries: He subtly gathers information, asking veiled questions that hint at his search without revealing its true nature. Secretive Scouting: Rhozir scouts ancient sites and forgotten paths, always under the guise of an artist seeking inspiration for his next piece. Clandestine Meetings: He arranges secret rendezvous with informants who can provide leads on his sister’s fate or ways to clear his name. Though when they know too much he ends up “getting rid” of them. Covert Exchanges: Trading in secrets and favors, Rhozir acquires items of power and knowledge that may aid in his quest, all while maintaining a facade of nonchalance. Veiled Research: He studies ancient texts and maps, always in private, piecing together clues about his sister’s disappearance and his tribe’s history. Each of these activities is carefully executed to avoid drawing attention to his true intentions, allowing Rhozir to move closer to his goals while keeping the mystery of his past intact.

Breath Weapon; Radiant

Action Type: 1 Action Attack/Save: DEX 13 Damage: 1d10 Damage Type: Radiant Range/Area: --ft. Reach When you take the Attack action on your turn, you can replace one of your attacks with an exhalation of magical energy in a 15-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC = 8 + your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus). On a failed save, the creature takes 1d10 damage of the type associated with your Gem Ancestry. On a successful save, it takes half as much damage. This damage increases by 1d10 when you reach 5th level (2d10), 11th level (3d10), and 17th level (4d10). You can use your Breath Weapon a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Psionic Mind

Action Type: No Action Range/Area: --ft. Reach You can send telepathic messages to any creature you can see within 30 feet of you. You don’t need to share a language with the creature for it to understand these messages, but it must be able to understand at least one language to comprehend them.

Gem Flight

Action Type: 1 Bonus Action Range/Area: --ft. Reach Starting at 5th level, you can use a bonus action to manifest spectral wings on your body. These wings last for 1 minute. For the duration, you gain a flying speed equal to your walking speed and can hover. Once you use this trait, you can’t do so again until you finish a long rest.

Bardic Inspiration

Action Type: 1 Bonus Action Range/Area: --ft. Reach You can inspire others through stirring words or music. To do so, you use a bonus action on your turn to choose one creature other than yourself within 60 feet of you who can hear you. That creature gains one Bardic Inspiration die, a d6. Once within the next 10 minutes, the creature can roll the die and add the number rolled to one ability check, attack roll, or saving throw it makes. The creature can wait until after it rolls the d20 before deciding to use the Bardic Inspiration die, but must decide before the DM says whether the roll succeeds or fails. Once the Bardic Inspiration die is rolled, it is lost. A creature can have only one Bardic Inspiration die at a time. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (a minimum of once). You regain any expended uses when you finish a long rest. Your Bardic Inspiration die changes when you reach certain levels in this class. The die becomes a d8 at 5th level, a d10 at 10th level, and a d12 at 15th level.
