Arya Rho Agana was born from a Sheikah artisan and a Yiga general. Her mother, Andromeda, was a Yiga who tried convinving Arya's father to join the clan for the sake of their daughter. When he refused, she took the baby and disappeared without warning, raising Arya within the clan with no knowledge of her father. She had an older half sister, Aisha, born from a previous union of Andromeda, who she loved dearly. Aisha ended up giving her life to save Arya from a yiga-hylian conflict when she was just 5. Aisha ended up falling into a pool of malice, and child Arya tried saving her, which resulted in her losing her arms, Her mother, after the loss of her heir, commissioned prosthetic arms for her and trained her from a very young age to become her successor. Growing up to be a weapon, Arya had difficulties expressing or identifying emotions, often coming across as robot-like. It was until she started interacting with the outside world that she regained her sense of humanity.
