A serious fellow with a near-fatal curiosity and a rather eccentric ego brought about by a validated confidence in his own abilities. He is an excellent conversational partner who enjoys winning a fight of intellect over resorting to physical violence. 

Former pirate in his younger days, now settled in the steampunk city of Blackrock as an officer in their police force, hired by the chief after being considered a valuable asset due to his past experience. Became obsessed with tracking the Lord of Time, Moriarty, after learning that the violent god he heard tales about out on the sea was real and currently roaming the city in mortal form. In his desperation to capture Moriarty, he accidentally uncovered more secrets than he wished about the truth of the Lord of Time's situation and Moriarty managed to rope Sherlock into working with him through blackmail and Sherlock now spends his time attempting to keep his new acquaintance away from the eyes of his co-workers in the police force as the peculiar duo continue to investigate their mysteries.
