- when he strikes his palms together he's able to ignite a fire and control it the way he needs it

- when concentrated he's able to control it with amazing accuracy 

- on dry days his flames are more intense and larger

- other than his arms, his not fire resistant

- he can lose control if he doesn't keep his concentration 

- if his hands get wet he can't ignite any fires for at least an hour

How did you obtain it (what was happening at the time):

one night when he was going to bed he complained that his palms were bothering him. When he woke up his palms were black and had a similar texture to fine tooth sandpaper. When he rubbed them together they sparked. He concentrate and was able to hold a small flame.
