GHOST QUEEN BANE is a powerful ghost who rules over a forested Zone, drawing in weaker spirits with the lure of her power and turning them into her ghostly skeleton dog servants. She is also a noted necromancer, and will bind particularly strong spirits to their own deceased bodies to grant them a second chance at life.
Her motives for this are unknown, but two of her sired ghosts have gone on to become popular music stars and no one has been cursed or eaten by a zombie yet, so most of the population is keen on just leaving her to her own devices. Doesn’t stop locals in areas surrounding the Haunted Copse from guarding the graves of the recently dead if her skeleton dogs are seen skulking around, though.
Bane has two personas, and which one you see depends on your relationship to her. Strangers, particularly the living, are treated to a tight-lipped, menacing ghost queen who uses her reputation to keep them scared enough to cut the meeting short. Those who are closer to her - so only her undead creations, really - report a softer, surprisingly immature individual.
Her "true" personality is likely somewhere in the middle, with the former a facade used to keep strangers away, and the latter an exaggeratedly warm front to keep her newly un-deceased charges from panicking or turning on her.
