Justin is the leader type of guy. He's loyal, social and has a strong sense of duty making Justin a really reliable Inkling. Unfortunately he can be a little too sensitive and absolutely selfless so most of the time others won't be able to tell something is up. He's also very reluctant to changes, especially if he's not sure if the changes would be for the better. Why changing a running system, you know?

• The basics of Justins look are based on the protagonist of the game GRANDIA. The name Justin is also a reference to said character. On top of that Justins last name is a combination of locations in said game.
  But that's all there is to their connection. Their character itself differs a lot.
  
  

Justin grew up with his family like every child should. Unfortunately his father was part of the military and had to leave home for a while every now and then. Justins mother kept saying how much Justin resembles his father and that he gave her hope to see her husband again. When Justin turned 13 he answered the door to a stranger in military uniform. He handed the teen a little package with a beret on top of it before he left. Justin sure liked the beret even though it was a little too large but stuffing his tentacles in it did the trick. When his mother returned home from work her eyes widen as she saw the beret that Justin was proudly showing and ripped it off his head. When doing so she got caught in the teens earrings but didn't notice, so she was simply ripping them out in the process before collapsing on the ground, crying. It was until later that Justin realized what the package meant and who the beret belonged to. But he couldn't grief about his fathers death, he was too worried about his mother who stopped working, stopped eating, she stopped caring for anything.
In the end she was taken to a mental care facility and all Justin got to keep was the beret that he's still wearing today. Being too young to be on his own Justin got taken to an orphanage where he rather quickly decided to care for 5 younger squids.
It was his idea to regularly sneak out of the orphanage to play turfwar because the chepalings got inseparable and no one wanted to adopt 6 young squids at once. The goal was to collect enough money so Justin could afford a little home and adopt his found family. Once old enough his younger siblings helped gathering the money. Thanks to their hard work the plan was a complete success and the little family now shares a home and are an official squad called Squid-filled box.
Nowadays Justin keeps an eye on all of his siblings and makes sure to protect and support them with all his might, especially since he knows how fast a life can go downhill. He dedicated his life to protect those he loves.  And according to his siblings he visits his mother every now and then, he never stopped caring about her either...
