Nallesshh is a draconic horror, a rumor, a tale to tell rowdy dragonborn children to behave. Nallesshh, born into a cursed bloodline of ancient dragons, served his parents dutifully for centuries. He is a dragon of unknown color, smoky gray reptilian flesh bare to the world, not a single scale on his body. Nallesshh and his family ruled quietly over the various dragon races and colors for many many centuries. They watched the world grow and shrink, rise and fall, and were, on rare occasions, responsible for said growth and regression. He lived often in fear of what would become of him if he didn't behave as a faithful child to his parents and their families, and to those his services were often unwillingly donated to. Nallesshh's family never respected Nallesshh as a true dragon. Their scales and their color were their pride, and without either of those things, you were considered useless as a dragon. Despite his scaleless nature, Nallesshh had a powerful affinity to harness magic. He could consume the magic from surrounding areas by meditating for short lengths of time, and it was rumored that he could do the same to living creatures.

Nallesshh's servitude and disrespect among his peers lasted only as long as the strong rule of dragons. When mortal humanoids rebelled against the scaled grip of the draconic empire that had control over them for so long, Nallesshh fell along with the expansive council that he had grown to fear. Nallesshh, relatively younger, smaller, and weaker than the rest of the dragons that manned the council, was taken hostage by humans, and held in their service for just under a century. They knew full well that his lack of scales would be his downfall, and used that to their exclusive advantage.

During this time, Nallesshh was forced to grieve in captivity, miserable, constantly poked, prodded, and tortured by his human captors, unable to ever truly express the cascade of emotions rippling through his being. If he lashed out at those who kept him under lockdown, he would be punished. If he was too loud, he would be punished. If any mortal being outside of Nallesshh's dungeon ever discovered his existence, he would be killed or worse. Nallesshh's fear and emotions twisted him into a crazed, distressed, violent being, though he typically kept to himself around his mortal masters. He learned to be calm, controlled, and falsely obedient during his time, taking the coming century to grow in power and quietly reach out to his draconic ancestry, tapping in to the magical power he was given by his noble bloodline.

In a last-ditch effort, and a massive surge of strength, Nallesshh harnessed his ancestors and let free a massive breath of multi-element dragon magic. It tore a huge, cone-shaped hole through the earth and the walls of the stronghold that had held Nallesshh for so long, earning him freedom. He stretched his wings for the first time in a century, and sloppily flew as far from his human prison as he possibly could.

Since, mortal eyes have never seen Nallesshh again, but he schemes in quiet solitude, growing and aging, gaining power. Many rumors have spread theorizing about his existence: some say he slumbers eternal, waiting for his fated time; some say he harnessed his powers to time travel into the future, centuries after the world has forgotten his name; some say he made contact with a divine being and fed on their power until he reached godhood himself. None are certain of Nallesshh's whereabouts, but it is safe to assume that you'd rather never find out.
