Iodine can do a lot of things, and so this applies to Ione too, she was a nurse at some point (because of tincture of iodine being used as a antiseptic), she works as a cleaner for the Apartments and also has a side job as a photographer (because silver iodide is used in photographic film), and, as a side note, her favourite kinds of pictures are of the sky (because silver iodide is also used in cloud seeding).

In regards to who she's friends with, other than the other elements that like to clean and Agustina, she's really close with Agnès and Meghan because... well it's a little complicated. See, because iodine is used to test for starch, and gluten is similar to starch, that means Ione has coeliac disease aka gluten intolerance. That, combined with the fact that iodine is well known for being found in seaweed, means that one of her favourite foods is sushi. Sushi also contains fish and rice, and since fish has mercury and rice has arsenic, those two eat it as well and therefore all three of them are friends.
