Satomi

A fox demon that was just trying to catch some shut-eye in the trees of the forest one day happened to catch the passing scent of blood. Perking her ears, she heard the screams of a child, and leapt from her spot, fully awake and ready to hunt. Satomi was formerly a member of the court of Sesshomaru's father, but had as of the last two hundred years or so after his death gone back to the duties of her family of foxes: protecting humans. She saved Rin from a lesser demon and Sesshomaru granted her the opportunity to travel with his small band (upon Rin's pleas that another girl get to journey alongside them). Being several hundred years old, she has already grown five tails that have lightened to a peachy golden color, tipped with white.

In her human form, Satomi is a slight, athletic young woman with lightly tanned skin that is dappled with freckles along the bridge of her nose. She has a narrow, symmetrical face with high cheekbones, large, hazel eyes, and smiling lips with sharp teeth. There are several orange markings across her face, including a pair of stripes on each side that taper thinner back towards her pointed ears, as well as markings along her eyes that flare out like winged eyeliner with three smaller circles beneath her eyes, and a teardrop shape in the center of her forehead with two smaller circles adjacent on either side of it. Her eyebrows are thin. Her bangs are a bit off-center, while the rest of her wavy, light brown hair trails down to her waist and nearly to her hips. Only the lobe of one of her slightly pointed ears is pierced, and a simple bone earring with a dark blue pearl is suspended from it.

As is characteristic of most kitsune, Satomi keeps her promises and strives to repay any sort of favor. Unlike other more mischeivous kitsune, she uses her magic for the benefit of her companions or hosts as long as she is treated with mutual respect.

Her supernatural abilities include possession (?), generating fire or lightning, manifesting in the dreams of others, invisibility, and the creation of extreme illusions.
