Personality

Rindel is a walking enigma; a figure both alluring and fragile, he oscillates between shadow and light. He relies on others to prevent being consumed by darkness and becoming a negative person.

Constantly craving attention, he enjoys drawing eyes towards him. It's not something he deliberately seeks, but his traumatic childhood caused this; people who don't look at him don't like him. And if they don’t like him, they leave him behind. Behind his tender smiles and selfless gestures lies a tortured soul; when gazes turn away and he is left completely alone, his traumas resurface, and he easily loses composure.

He struggles to trust and is wary of the world around him, except for the members of the guild, who hold his only glimmer of trust.

His exceptional mastery of the arts of concealment and manipulation makes him a master of diversion during missions, deploying his talent with disconcerting ease. He finds satisfaction in feeling useful and demonstrating his skills in various domains. Sometimes, even if it is rare, he brags about it and gently mocks people who are fooled by his tricks. Although he experiences some difficulty in using this skill with his close ones, resorting to this tactic only as a last resort, he has no hesitation in deploying his charm and manipulation talents with strangers. Under a mischievous, provocative, and selfish mask, he skillfully conceals his true intentions. Those who don't know him can easily judge him in this way and dislike him.

Rindel is a resilient individual who is not easily discouraged, he skillfully hides his immense vulnerability behind a veil of humor and a detached attitude. He lacks leadership qualities, presenting himself more as a follower and he abhors making decisions that affect the safety of others.

Appearance

Rindel, who was considered a 'fine specimen', had already captivated many eyes during his time at the brothel, and many clients enjoyed the thought of being in his presence due to his highly regarded physique. It seems he inherited his graceful features from his mother, and he is perfectly aware of it, spending most of his time playing with his appearance to get what he desires. Though not very tall, barely exceeding 5'8.9, his slender body bears witness to countless dance and gymnastics classes that have sculpted him. His flexibility and agility, typical of his Ecaflip nature, have only accentuated his musculature.

When he's angry, his eyes, which are always mischievously sparkling, can be piercing. The heterochromatic legacy of his mother is reflected in his gaze, where blue and gold harmoniously mingle. His fur, a soft, creamy white, emits a faint caramel fragrance. Despite this well-groomed appearance, he skillfully conceals certain scars under his fur, indelible remnants of the abuses inflicted by Orym, which he prefers not to remember. Favoring blue, he often wears corsets and long boots, elegantly highlighting his slender figure. He has a total of three piercings, including one discreetly placed on his tongue and two other hidden in specific places on his body.
His white mane is both silky and slightly wavy, and it is always tied back. However, he only releases it from its restraints when he needs to disguise himself as a woman. His hair gracefully falls to his shoulders, adding a touch of femininity to his already delicate features. When he puts on his feminine disguise, he always applies himself to drawing a mole above his lip and loves to put on lipstick.

Zaan holds a special place in Rindel's life as his best friend, but also a former crush. Their relationship was woven around Osamodas' frequent visits to Kerubim's shop, gradually evolving into a strong friendship. Despite Rindel's repeated attempts to woo Zaan, he quickly realized that Zaan's affections were reserved for Renata, another friend they shared. Rindel thus committed himself to helping Zaan win Renata's heart in every way possible. To Rindel, Zaan is like a brother, although he is aware of Lysander's intense resentment towards him and his quest for revenge against the Finranrir family. The underlying tensions and Ecaflip's naturally charming demeanor have sometimes led their friends to speculate about the nature of Rindel and Zaan's relationship, but it's merely a misunderstanding, as their bond is purely platonic.

Lysander and Rindel are inseparable since childhood and have saved each other's lives; the Ecaflip helped her after she lost her whole family, and in return, she assisted him in escaping from the brothel where he was held captive.
Although Rindel isn't interested in becoming a spy, he acquired the same techniques as Lysander. According to protocol, Lysander acts alone during her missions. But unofficially, she is always helped by Rindel ; he perfectly distracts the targets. She is convinced that he will also become a spy in the future. She keeps saying that he has tremendous potential that he wastes unnecessarily. They share both deep affection and immense respect for each other. Rindel knows that behind Lysander's coldness hides a lot of love, which she devotes to Wilhelmina and him. If the guild were to disband, he knows that she would stay by his side no matter what; his substitute sisters joined the guild due to his influence.

Wilhelmina was the initial person to come across Rindel. Initially, she was completely disinterested and turned away from him, but as time went by and their encounters in Bonta, she became comfortable with his presence and valued him. She is the only person to warn him that his kindness will bring him down. During their childhood, they frequently argued because they viewed things differently. Wilhelmina was pessimistic while Rindel was always looking for the positive in everything and everyone.
Their relationship is quite unique from the others; cynicity is something they both love, and Wilhelmina brings out Rindel's aggressive side. There are those who believe that Wil' has a negative impact on Rindel. In truth, the Ecaflip admires Wilhelmina’s independent character and her impressive mental strength. Despite his deep admiration for her, he occasionally disagrees with her actions; he always tries to appease her rebellious impulses, but it is wasted effort because the Eliatrope is really stubborn.
Rindel's seductive attitude is a source of embarrassment for Wilhelmina, and she frequently expresses her disapproval in a violent manner; she hits the back of his head when he makes jokes or tells tendentious anecdotes and pulls him by the ear when he flirts with someone in front of her. She also deplores his terrible tastes and even though she seems completely indifferent, she still seems to want to watch over him and watch out for the people he hangs out with, in hopes that he doesn't make the same mistakes as Orym.

Rindel is greatly impressed by her older sister's fighting spirit, while she is also proud of him and what he does.

Rindel has consistently been very protective of her. In the first season, he meets Euphyllia and discovers that she is a dear friend of Joris Jurgen. They act as siblings, and Euphyllia has always been there for him; she assures him that his past will not be used against him, and promises to help him heal from his traumas.
When she finds out what Orym did to Rindel for years, she will slap the Sram without any hesitation, even if it means putting herself in a tough spot. Through this gesture, she will convey to him that she is prepared to fight for him and that he is not alone; he will never be left behind again.
Her ideology is what he adheres to, and even if he doesn't show it, she has won him all his gratitude by persuading him to join her guild, where he can embark on amazing adventures and encounter amazing people.
When Dathura puts her into an artificial coma to treat her severe injuries in season 3, he will be completely devastated. His anger is so intense that he won't forgive Ush for leaving her alone and he won't permit him to see her again; despite the fact that he initiated the rupture between Euphyllia and Ush, he believes it was the most appropriate choice. He is the one who will make her understand that Joris has been in love with her since their childhood and that he deserves a chance.

Backstory

Abandoned by his parents, he was found on the streets and taken in by the owner of a brothel in Bonta, Orym, where he took on menial tasks and household chores. Rindel's happiness was not sustainable in this horrible place, but he had to deal with it to survive. At that particular moment, Lysander is his sole source of friendly support. Since the Sacrier's arrival on the streets of Bonta, he has played a crucial role by providing assistance for survival and helping locate her aunt. He encountered Wilhelmina at the same time, the three teenagers formed a close bond ; none of them had parents and had to take care of themselves. Over time, their friendship develops, and years later, it serves as a crucial turning point during the difficult times that Rindel encounters in the brothel. Upon reaching the age of eighteen, he gained popularity due to his pleasing appearance, unfortunately becoming one of the most sought-after attractions in the establishment. Consequently, he agreed to seduce and satisfy the regular clients, thinking it would lighten his life, but he was mistaken. His reputation solidified in people's minds, wrapping around him like ruthless tentacles — a fleshy prison he abhorred.

Lysander facilitates his escape through a clever diversion: a deliberately triggered fire in one of the brothel's rooms. Thanks to this maneuver, she enables Rindel to disappear from the radar. When he left that place without any future plans, he encountered Zaan, who saved him from an assault. From that moment on, he wholeheartedly embraced his new life, becoming a treasure dealer and occasional thief in taverns.

Bonus, revealed through a role play.

During a discussion between Rindel and Amisra, he revealed that he had already tried to free himself from the grip of Orym with the help of a third person while he was still a teenager; an Iop, named Elyon, whose goodness was as marked as her naivety and lack of common sense, characteristics of his race. Despite his simple-minded appearance, Elyon sometimes showed a semblance of intelligence in his gaze when Rindel spoke to him. He disliked the way Rindel was treated and reacted indignantly to the slightest injustice towards him.
Their support for each other remained constant for many years. Once they were both eighteen years old, Orym entrusted Rindel with tasks that were tougher than just cleaning; he became a rent boy for old perverts. Elyon became extremely angry upon learning of this situation and promised Rindel to assist him in escaping. He assured him that they could go together, have thrilling adventures, and that they would only have to disguise themselves to escape any attempt at reunion.
However, their hopes were quickly dashed when their plans did not go as planned.
Elyon’s disappearance was as sudden as it was brutal. He had gone without any warning. When Rindel returned home after a night of silence without any information about his friend, he saw Orym's sadistic smile, and immediately realized his own inaction played a crucial role in this tragic event. He recognized this glowing spark in his dark eyes.

The cries and desperate calls of Elyon’s parents reverberated in the remote alleys of Bonta, but Rindel, petrified by guilt, remained motionless, aware that his friend’s disappearance was entirely his fault. He remembered watching them search, again and again, from the vantage of his window. Wrapped in the stifling luxury of satin and silk, he felt suffocated at the thought of Elyon’s ordeals for trying to help him. He was burning to scream, to cry, to strike something.
Even today, he was constantly assailed by nightmares where he saw Elyon disappear into the hands of Orym’s henchmen.

“He killed him…” Rindel sobbed bitterly against Amisra. A palpable rage permeated his trembling voice and the words burst from his mouth with tearing force, “He always found a way to tear away everything that mattered to me. As long as he lived, Ami, that fear would never leave me.”

Season 3.

Over time, Rindel has forged his own reputation and found his place alongside Kerubim, who revealed their fraternal bond to him.This is how Rindel discovered that he was the abandoned son of the god Ecaflip; another child that has been left alone. He has always been unable to remember the faces of his parents due to partial amnesia, probably caused by a deep trauma. However, when the truth was revealed to him, he eventually remembered his mother.
Following this discovery, Rindel remained by the side of his elder brother, Joris, and Atcham, and met Euphyllia, Joris Jurgen's childhood friend. As one of the first members of the Alliance, Rindel succeeded in persuading his adoptive family to join as well — Wilhelmina and Lysander. Driven by his faith in Euphyllia's innocence and kindness, he aspires to travel like Kerubim before him. Throughout his adventures alongside Sadida’s eleventh doll, he seeks to escape the grip of Orym, aware that killing him is necessary to permanently release himself. He is unable to overcome his weakness and waits, unconsciously, for someone to rescue him from the darkness that is threatening to consume him.
Rindel decided to remain with his friends, whom he considers his true family, despite feeling the urge to join Oropo to seek revenge on his father. Even though he feels resentful, he makes the decision to ignore his emotions and move forward. He attempted to convince Ush to abandon his vengeful aspirations, knowing it could jeopardize his relationship with Euphyllia... But to no avail.

Back in Bonta, Rindel picked up the thread of his life where he had left it; with a multitude of quests to accomplish, he cannot afford to dwell on the disappearance of his father and the other gods. For him, the future is a blank canvas, woven with new adventures awaiting him, each presenting opportunities to discover his own happiness, his own treasure.
Unfortunately for him, the initial pages of this new book will be stained with his blood.
And the blood of his loved ones.
