The head of House Hope and one of the Great Lady's three apprentices. Ixion is no doubt one of the most learned mages of the modern era, having earned himself the title of magister in several schools of study including that of the rather difficult to cast spells of chronomancy. Though he's made several significant breakthroughs in the understanding of magics since he began his tutelage, the witch is more imfamous than anything. Not many agree with his open stance that all magics, including that of darker origin, deserve to be understood. The nail is only further hammered into the coffin by his open study of dangerous, destructive lightning magics, and it is not uncommon to see the man hurtle lightning bolts to and fro as if they were snowballs. As such, he's more a piraya than someone fellow spellcasters take seriously. Ixion himself doesn't particularly care. He's always studied magic for the sake of learning more and encourages his family to do the same... though he does like to use his talents with time manipulation to irritate his children and grandchildren, often popping into their lives as his younger self for the sake of fun.
Personality
Despite what his choice in magical study might imply, Ixion is actually a rather calm and level headed person. He enjoys reading and light conversation, as well as has a great fondness for his family. It is not uncommon to see him simply moving around the house like the every day stay at home father might, smile on his face. Though like all Hopes, he very much has a wild streak within him. And it is once that wickedness is unleashed that true havoc is set forth unto the land... though he would argue that his daughter, Circe, is much more destructive than he is. After all, what are a few ruined buildings in comparison to leveling an entire city? He'll never let Circe live that one down.

Character Notes
- Despite being very intelligent in terms of understanding how magic works... Ixion has absolutely no idea how to dress himself properly.
- The man has no idea how to organize anything, and even his shop is usually a bumbling mess of valuable trinkets all over the place.
Design Notes
- Ixion can be portrayed in either his younger or older self at any time. His ability to manipulate time and space allows him to be anywhere at any time.
- He has large Lichtenberg scars that run along the length of his arms thanks to his countless casts of lightning spells... and the none too frequent failure of them.
- Like the rest of the Hopes, Ixion is no exception to the beauty marks that litter his body.
Related Characters
Madam Circe [ Daughter ]
Ixion's eldest child and only daughter. He loves Circe dearly, and makes it a point to always be there for her when she needs him... whether it be in his current or past self. She's grown used to seeing him in both stages of life, though not so much the constant popping in and out of existence.
Hecate & Calixto [ Grandsons ]
Hecate and Calixto very much remind Ixion of himself, especially when he was younger. Though he was much more motivated than the pair of them, he sees the likeness they have to him in how clever, but reckless they can be. And like their mother, he very much wishes that they weren't as lazy as they are... though that would never stop him from continuing to spoil them much to Circe's chagrin.
Julian [ Grandson ]
Julian is Ixion's youngest grandson. And though the older Hope knows that his grandson isn't very intrested in his own restorative abilities, Ixion sees the potential he has to be great. Unlike Circe, he tries to encourage Julian to focus on learning more about both restorative and destructive magics... finding value in both.
