Soulbinders are most of the nobles and upperclass citizens of the demonic realm. They are considered ones capable of holding diplomatic and political power due to their enhanced intelligence and inherent way with words. 

They gain their power through their ability to make soulbinding (like their name states) contracts with both non-demons or simply beings weaker than them, and their intimidation factor. They gain almost complete control over these souls for the most part.

Despite all of this being inherent, the art of soulbinding and tricking souls into contracts is a learned skill. The tradition for passing down this skill is simple. Once a soulbinder demon is roughly 20, they will be sent to learn under the wing of a more experienced soulbinder who has taken up the job and volunteered as a mentor. In this position up until the age of roughly 25, the young soulbinder will learn how to weave words correctly and manipulate souls safely. 

Soulbinders usually just have typical demon features in their object form like a spaded tail and webbed wings. If not that, they almost all have mainly reds oranges and yellows in their color palette.
