3 | Arachnids

Arachnids are an odd kind of demon. Preferring spaces with lots of uneven, walled terrain, their movement knows no limits as they scale floors, walls, ceilings and anything in-between. These demons are considered to lack order. They do not hesitate to brutalize one another, and it may be even worse for someone who is not one of them. All arachnid objects pertain to a food of some sort, with the most common being something found at a picnic (I.e fruits, typical lunch items). Accompanied with these objects will always be a source of poison that imitates a condiment. All tend to have a similar effect.

These demons spawn from a specific entity, known by all of her children as "The Mother". She is the only thing besides their shared spider features that keeps them together. One could say that she is a way to live. Whatever she is, The Mother is a godly entity to this kind. They claim to speak with her and to visit their Mother, but no one has yet been able to see her. Arachnids refuse to give any description.

While the world around them is often enveloped in the reds and yellows of hell, they find ways to add color. Often, being based on foods, they will be whatever color that food is. However, in the pigment of an arachnid's skin, there are lines of color that are most often inverse of the limb's color. These are typically only seen when the true form is revealed. On the subject of their limbs, an arachnid will always have eight. This is a unique trait for each one, with some having more arms or legs than others.

Arachnids are infamous for their horrendous diet. While they may consume meaty foods, their true source of nutrition is flesh. Specifically the flesh and soft innards of a living object or demon. They hunt down and kill when hungry, and these creatures are ravenous. Without proper nourishment, they become much weaker than the average demon even in a true form until they eventually starve to death. They can only go so long without a sentient kill.
