Ellen

Eleanor or Ellen for short is a tatoo artist living in the Border Slits with her family: her husband Arthur and their adopted son Mason.

Ellen is pretty much exccentric. She's a tatoo artist and admires everything that surrounds art. She may look peaceful but she won't tolerate any offenses in silence. She had some problems in her health, most precisely on her heart due to natural conditions that also included a very low fertility. She uses a pacemaker and can't run or practice exercises too much.

Her relationship with Mason is distant and they act indifferent to each other. They normally don't interact even living in the same house. She doesn't force contact or try getting closer to him for fear of being unliked. Ellen wanted so much to be a good mom but all the insecurity and personal disappointment towards her own past choices and health made her avoid any deep conexion with her son.
