About

Skylar is a talented teenager that's currently enrolled in a prestigious boarding academy on the surface of Xygoroth. She's exceptional when it comes to gymnastics and has won awards for all of her athletic past achievements thus far.

Personality

Skylar is sly and smug. She's confident and determined in getting what she wants, even if it means bending the rules to obtain it, and usually likes showing off in the process. She's also quite selfish and won't hesitate to use and manipulate people if it benefits her in the long run.

That doesn't necessarily mean she's cruel. She can definitely be nice. She usually is with her classmates and teachers, and she'll respect you so long as you respect her. However, she can insensitive and self-centered since all she thinks about is herself. She believes that the world revolves around her. She'll prioritize her own desires above anyone else. She's never cared for someone as much as herself and isn't as empathethic as she could be.

Whenever someone else is struggling with a problem, she'll blame it on the person. But wheenver she's going through something, she'll blame it on external factors. Like for example, she failed that biology exam she took earlier because she was tired from practice the night before. But if someone else were to fail that same biology exam, then they're just dumb. She'll make up excuses for her own flaws while putting others down for their flaws. It's a hard mindset to break through, but she'll slowly learn better over time.

Abilities

Like all Xynthii, Skylar was born with two types of psychic powers: speaking through telepathy (since she doesn’t have a human mouth to talk through) and being able to levitate and float in the air at will.

She can’t really navigate and fly that high, she can only hover some inches above a surface, ground, or floor at most.

And of course, Skylar is also extremely fit and flexible. She can bend and twist her body while executing an aerial trick. She also knows how to ribbon dance. She'll move with fluent ease, grace, and elegance.

Backstory

Skylar was actually adopted and raised by a group of circus acrobats. She never really had one parent, she had multiple parents that were all engaged in a polyamorous relationship (which consisted of two mothers and two fathers). So from a young age, she learned to train her body and master flexibility.

All of her parents were very supporting of her, so much so that they'd sometimes spoil her rotten. They showered her with constant praise and love, which would only serve to inflat her ego.

When she was eight, all of her parents retired from the circus one day when one of them had gained a work-related injury. They decided to start anew, retire from the circus group they worked for, and just go through the motions of a more normal life. They encouraged their daughter to get into gymnastics, which Skylar always had an interest for in the first place. By the time Skylar was twelve, she had already won countless awards for for spectacular gymnatic feats.

Once she turned thirteen, Skylar was given a chance to enroll in a prestigious boarding academy for talented teenagers. She gladly accepted the opportunity.

Everything went smooth sailing as soon as she started high school. She managed to climb her way up into becoming the president of the gymnastics team. All was well except for one thing: her roommate Pinky.

Skylar grew to dislike Pinky due to her naggy habits, and they’d eventually butt heads often from there. It’ll be a long road ahead of these two before they can finally agree on something.

Other

Skylar has an incredible metabolism. She eats a lot for someone who's supposed to watch over her figure. She's able to just shed those pounds and convert them into energy just like that.

She also used to do competitive cheerleading up until middle school. She quit once she decided to focus more solely on gymnastics.

She's a bit of a humblebrag. She'll pretend to be all modest about her past accomplishments, but you can tell that she's highkey trying to brag. It can get obnoxious.
