and divine, the highest among the angels and the goddesses' holy executor - truly blessed in his afterlife, Versailles lived eternity in a cradle of divine opulence. Yet darkness embraced the heavens, and as a traitor placed themselves among the lines of his kind, Versailles was horrified to find that they had ascended despite having committed the gravest sin of all in life. He was certain that betrayal lay in wait for his beloved goddess, yet he had no proof - and he confronted the perpetrator in her sacred halls, only to be consumed by fury at the desecration of the holy Elegie. The next thing he knew, Versailles found himself atop her throne, cradling the traitor’s head in his lap. He was utterly horrified, though not at his actions, but rather at the fact that he felt a satisfaction upon his violence that he’d never felt before. He relished in what he’d done, and he couldn’t help but bask in this almost divine revelation of the fulfilment the murder had given him, far more so than he’d ever felt with the holy purpose bestowed upon him by the goddess. What else, pray tell, could this be but true divinity, reasoned his shattered mind - not yet ready to accept the truth that there’d always laid a dark seed within him, and he’d truthfully merely envied the traitor for having been able to do what he’d longed, yet suppressed his entire mortal life before ascension.

and blasphemous he figured the other angels, himself the true martyr that had seen beyond the veil of what goddess Elegie had kept from them. Within his twisted religion, Versailles made himself the executioner of their sin, and they were helpless against his judgement. When the goddess discovered the atrocity that had transpired, she was utterly horrified at what had happened, yet she couldn’t bear to kill the most beloved of her angels - and instead, Versailles fell.

he remains upon the earth, judge, jury and executioner of mortal sin, killing any that dare act against his beliefs. He’d been captured a few times of course, even ripped out his wings, yet it was a fierce and long time before he was finally, fully sealed away - eternally locked and bound in a dark, deep cell, forever succumbing to his sacrificial desires. You better not dare to step too close, as the restraints subduing him do not at all hinder his powers..
