Angelica Maur, or, as she’s more commonly known, Doc Maur; the ship’s doctor on our friendly neighborhood flying sentient tallship ACV Equinox.

In her country, it’s customary for budding doctors to travel the world after their formal education and study the medical knowledge of other countries before settling down. Doc Maur got… uh, a little carried away, given that she’s most likely in her early thirties. Her exact age is a carefully-kept secret…  but either way she’s the second-oldest person aboard Equinox after the captain.

She ended up on Equinox after she hitched a ride on the ship to avoid a trek across a few hundred miles of difficult terrain - the former ship’s doctor had quit mere days before, so that was a pretty good idea for everyone involved. At the end of the trip, the captain asked her to stay - he was impressed with her pragmatic competence and professionalism, and the crew loved her stories of her travels all across the world. She’d still like to go back and finally practice medicine in a proper, well-equipped, solid environment eventually, but not quite yet.

She and the captain generally don’t get along too well, but they both know they work well as a team, and they both respect each other for their abilities. On the other hand, she gets along very well with Severin once she starts to trust him a little. The crew loves her, anyway, and she loves them right back, even though she doesn’t get attached to people quite as easily as the captain.

She can do healing magic, but she avoids using it as much as possible, as research indicates that the patients could build up a resistance to it over time, along with other long-term issues. This baffles most Coversanians, who rely on magic for just about everything.

She's from a rich and influential family (which is why she's able to gallivant across several continents for years on end, essentially for fun at this point), and while she tries to not be a jerk about it, it doesn't always totally work.

Also happens to be frankly terrifying at board games and poker.
