Being a guardian never really vibes with Crash... Why would he want to sit around all day, babysitting some mortal, unable to interfere, when all he wanted to do was break stuff? Bones especially. As such, much of their time that should have been spent studying was instead spent learning to fight. Boxing, wrestling, whatever. He's looked down upon by most Heavenly, but who cares about their opinions? His legitimate job is acting as a bouncer for the nightclub Purgatory, but they're willing to lend out their services as a Merc to anyone, for the right price, and the go-ahead to cause as much mayhem as possible. 

Discretion is highly important to them. Once a gig is done, and he gets his pay, it'll never again be mentioned.
