Jacque Seaver
A more savage pirate than Jacque likely does not exist on Ganymede -- save for his love and partner in crime, Katerina. Together the two take what they want, do what they please, and kill any who stand in their way.
He spent much of his life apologizing and trying to make up for being himself -- for being the demon he was told he was. He attempted to appease all, and did everything as he was told to do. It was Katerina, in his early years, who freed him from this, her friendship inspiring in him enough self-respect to leave his home years later. And when he fell back into the same pattern of obedience and low confidence, it was Katerina's timely reappearance in his life that saved him once more, for good.
Now, Jacque no longer believes himself to be lesser for his differences. He embraces the demon others once believed him to be, and gives people a reason to fear him. For where he goes, death and suffering are not far behind.

Katerina Delahaye

Katerina is absolutely and undeniably Jacque's everything; she is his world. Everything he does is for her sake -- he is wholly devoted to her life and happiness, and anyone who dares interfere with either of those things suddenly finds themselves walking a very, very dangerous road, as the only thing Jacque enjoys more than proving his strength, is putting it to use for Katerina's sake. Her's is the only love he has ever known, and it is a treasure he guards jealously. Those who dare to allow their gaze to linger on her for even a moment longer than Jacque deems proper soon find themselves on the wrong end of his blades -- and woe to they who upset or anger Katerina while he is around. It is she that brought out the best of the worst in him, she who took the meek, broken sheshika thrown into the world by his mother, and helped him find his way to strength, purpose, and confidence. Katerina is his home, his happiness -- and to her he will always give his boundless dedication.
Benedict Seaver

Jacque's opinion of Benedict varies by day -- sometimes he's pleased by the potat, other days he finds the youngling to be an absolute nuisance. But he is always fond of his son, regardless of whether he's willing to admit it. Benedict serves as a pupil for Jacque, who has taken it upon himself to teach him the ways of the sea, piracy, and combat. Lessons that, to Jacque's pleasure, Benedict has taken to like a fish to water. What's more, the potat has grown to respect Jacque more through these lessons -- though his lighthearted nature means that sometimes he still swipes a thing or two as part of a game. Regardless of the frustrations he has caused Jacque, past and present both, the sheshika considers Benedict to be family, and if the need arises, will defend him as fiercely as he would Katerina -- though usually, Benedict doesn't end up in a fight he cannot win himself.

"The Crew"

Jacque is not a cruel captain, but nor is he particularly openly caring. He cares for his crew like family -- if he knew what family meant. He respects them for the work they do, and for their acceptance, but expects respect from them for his position -- even those who have been around longer than he. To those who seek to harm his people: Jacque shows no mercy in defending them. He does not jump to their defense in the same way he woud protect Katerina, or even Benedict, but he will also not allow harm to come to them while he is present. However, his love for them only goes so far -- were Katerina to one day tell him she desired them all gone, or if they were to somehow harm her, Jacque would offer no hesitation in killing every one of them -- and to a lesser extent, he would do the same for Benedict. Working for Jacque is not a poor fate, however. He has an eye for things of value, but he is fair, and everyone gets their share. Just tread lightly around the second captain, and pray you do not fall out of favor with the first.
