Calm, calculating, no-nonsense and untrusting of most people. You'll rarely see her smile about anything, and she is very ruthless against rule-breakers. Profile

Backstory: If you have the ability to break the law and get away with it, why wouldn't you? That was what Lawrencia was raised to believe, born to a family of tax evaders (among other things). This egocentric approach made sense to her child self, and it perplexed her that the children around her didn't seem to think the same way.

This changed in late elementary school. After seeing one of her classmates foolishly leave some money sitting out on their desk during recess, she took it, figuring it was the logical thing to do. To her it wasn't wrong—it was simply the survival of the fittest, and her victim was dumb and careless. If anything, her deed would teach this kid a valuable lesson —or at least that's what her parents would've said.

But after the child noticed it was gone and started crying up a storm, Lawrencia felt something strange. She didn't understand why this random student's turmoil should matter to her, but she couldn't deny that she felt bad that her actions were able to cause another so much suffering. She started to wonder: did her parents' actions do the same to countless others?

Knowing the action of taking the money was what made her feel bad, she decided to return it immediately—and without any shyness or embarrassment, much to the rest of the class' surprise. It was as if it were a normal business exchange.

From then on, she started questioning her family's philosophy, while becoming increasingly fascinated by the legal system and how it was able to keep a race of such self-centered beings in check—for the most part. Having a passion for it, she eventually decided to go to law school. Her parents immediately disowned her after learning this, but that was perfectly fine, as her plan was to 'disown' them with legal action right after she graduated anyway. And she did, and years later, she achieved judgeship with ease thanks to her knowledge, passion, and extensive track record of taking down all sorts of criminals.

Her opinion on the current legal system:

While she practically worships the law, she can't stand most of her co-workers, as most of them are too silly, lazy, or incompetent or all three. She especially can't stand Judge Mendel and that new and even worse Judge Kalamar, though at least the latter tends to not be in charge of any large cases. The fact that such incompetent people were able to become judges makes her genuinely worried that the Los Tokyo legal system is failing and she plans on staying a judge for as long as she can to try to keep the legal system in check until she literally cannot work anymore. She is DEDICATED, man.

Not so fun facts:

- She may not be compassionate at all on the outside, but she donates most of her earnings to charities—all of which she researches extensively to make sure they live up to her strict expectations.

- She has a soft spot for children and is very open to speaking at school assemblies, hoping to send them down the right path.

- She can analyze why people find jokes funny (ex: 'this joke is considered funny because it flips one's expectations'), but cannot seem to ever actually find them funny herself. Such a stick in the mud.
