Background
From a far-away colony where the mentality is that familiar ties are put higher than any crew they might join in the future, and drills this into everyone growing up there. Vik lived up to this completely. She had a military education, and along with her childhood friend Jazz, she went to Kirikiya for more ship experience. She accepted the attitude and ideology of the place, and did her best to adapt professionally. She and Jazz eventually joined the crew of the ship that would become Stilet. Vik has significant experience with sensors, and since Stilet is a ship with a particularly complicated sensor system, she felt like it was good experience for her.

A few years into Niktos' captaincy, she was called back to her home colony for a job, and decided not to tell her crew. She figured that would be easier, because in her mind her loyalties made sense. When she reappeared almost a year later, she was met with hostility, and learned that they had thought her dead, mourned her and not only that but Jazz had died in the meantime. It led to a huge, nasty argument between her and Niktos. Some days later she tried to sneak back onto the ship to collect some things and was met by Argo, who told her in no uncertain terms that she was not welcome anymore and exactly why that was.

Presumably, she joined another crew, or went back to her home colony afterwards. Or Argo killed her. Only the two know for sure.

Personality
As a person she was very private and mentally guarded, very disciplined and meticulous about her work, but with a great sense of humour, often sarcastic and dramatic for kicks. She became good friends with most of the Stilet crew - though mostly thanks to Jazz who acted as a bridge between them. She remained one of the more reserved members. She rarely discussed politics or morality issues, and mostly did as she was supposed to, or asked to, without question, unless asked for an opinion - which she often was, when it came to how to approach an issue, due to her experience.
