Background
Jazz is from Kilikiya.
When Vik disappeared with no trace, and was assumed dead, he was devastated. Shortly after, they were on a job, that was supposed to be a somewhat risky delivery job in an area of two rivaling colonies. The item they were delivering turned out to be far more important to the conflict in the area they had anticipated, and they were not prepared for the amount of resistance they were getting. They were boarded, and in the chaos, Jazz was shot. Fatally.
His death started a series of decisions on the crew's, and in particular Niktos' part, that ignited the looming war in the area.
Personality
Cheerful, laid back, strong-willed, good-natured and very compassionate. He was very disciplined with his work, but didn't care for some serious, bleak professionalism, and was a massive influence on the relaxed atmosphere on Stilet. He was very open minded, eager to learn and meet new people and was in general very social and approachable.

Vik Childhood friends, very close and also very different. Jazz helped Vik make friends and adapt, but she always advised him to be more cautious and to act smarter. Even with their different approaches to life on Kilikiya, they remained close.
Niktos He and Hitch bumbled their way into what became a romantic relationship, which forced Jazz to realise he was bi. It developed far more than any of the two expected, though they both had trouble expressing this.
