Kip is just a quiet loner who is traveling around looking for wormholes, which is what drew him to breezebay heights. He’s generally a pacifist, but has been tussling with the nightmare creatures, almost like it’s his responsibility. 

During one of these battles, Kibba stumbled upon him, but he looked different, much more monstrous (image not shown). After finding him again in disguise, Kibba has not let him know peace and has been constantly pestering him to figure out his secrets, as they just might have something to do with her own origin.

He’s also essentially becomes the chaperone to all her crazy escapades, since it appears Kibba has the same goal of fighting the nightmare creatures. 

Not wanting Kibba or Miku to get hurt, and knowing he can’t convince them otherwise, he lets them tag along on his quest. 

When he’s not looking for wormholes or watching over the kids, he likes to read (mostly books about the sea) or snooze by a tree. He enjoys anything that has to do with boats and sailing but is terrified of large bodies of water. Probably because he can't swim.
