"Hah! Bet you wish you were as good as me."
MERCURY
//Basics.
//About.
The cool, calm, and collected member of the planetary duo. Mercury is great at spinning tales on the fly, and can easily talk off the top of their head. They also frequently end up holding back their debate partner, Jupiter, who is far more firey and hotheaded.
PERSONALITY
Mercury is a shut off and independant individual. They study alone, spend time alone, etc. Before they met Jupiter, they would have never dreamed of participating in partnered events for the debate club. Now, though, onlookers may note that Mercy is more open and talkative. In fact, once you've grown close to them, it doesn't take much to realize they have a great sense of humor and love to make people laugh.
Outwardly, they tend to be blunt and direct. Mercy will say what they mean and nothing more than that. If they feel threatened or insulted, they have a tendancy to jump to conclusions and bite back. This is where a bit of their angrier nature begins to peer through. They have issues with bottling their emotions. In a way, they use their career in debate as a release of all of that pent up anger. While this isn't entirely healthy for them, they enjoy it, and intend to pursue a career in law in order to continue doing similar work.

ENTRY ONE
This is stupid. Writing in journals to talk about my feelings is stupid. The fact that I have this book open? Stupid. Ugh. Dad, I know you're reading this, cause you bought it for me. Fuck. Off. I am not going to vent so that you can read it and have a "serious talk" over dinner.
ENTRY TWO
I had Cosimo put a lock on this thing so I could actually use it. Honestly, I've been wanting to write in this thing for a while. So, uhh... hi diary. Journal. Whatever you are. Let me tell you a bit about my life. I'm the youngest kid of three. Usually, that means I would get special treatment, but my dad is a cruel bastard who hates everyone, so he hates me too. Yay! He likes mom, at least, so they probably won't get a divorce. I hear divorce rates are pretty high for straight people. I have a big sister, Antonella. She spends a lot of time taking care of everyone. Takes care of us, takes care of the kids next door, babysits down the street, and then settles my parent's arguements when they have them. She works hard, but she's never been good at anything. Probably won't become an Ultimate like everyone expects her to. Then I have a brother, Luca. Ugh. Luca. It's like he's trying to be a carbon copy of dad, but he's 50x as annoying! Dad loves it, though. And Luca has all the tools to succeed and be famous. And then there's me. I don't really know what I'm good for. I've never liked anything, just been talented sometimes. Is that all there is to it? Being good but hating what you do? I hope not. I want to have fun, not be some book snob my whole life. Okay, thanks for listening, diary. See you next time.
ENTRY THREE
Dad and I got into a fight. I told him I thought I was gay. He told me he thought I was a crazy. Mom cried at the table, and Luca sneered. And Antonella... Jeez. I thought out of everyone I could trust her, but she just stared at me with this disappointed look on her face. Like I should have kept my mouth shut. If the only way I'm allowed to exist peacefully in this house is by pretending to be somebody I'm not, then I don't even want to live here. I told dad that, and he said fine, that he'd find a place to send me away. Apparently I'm going to some all-girl's boarding school. I'm not entirely sure that will make me less gay, but hey, whatever he wants, right? I'm not gonna complain. The only thing is, it's out of the country. Don't get me wrong, I want to run from this house and never look back sometimes, but I'll have no one I know over there. And... It's kind of scary to be alone. Even if you want to be alone, it can be scary. How weird is that? I'll write all about America when I get there. I heard the people there suck.
ENTRY FOUR
Lot has happened, diary, so I'll try to summarize. I expected preps and nerds everywhere, but I ended up roomed with this pink haired kid. I think I was supposed to straighten them out since I've got a fresh slate or whatever. At first, this kid was super annoying. Pestering me, trying to get me to talk, trying to get to know me, all that jazz. She called herself Jupiter. I said that no self respecting parent would name their kid that where I was from, and she laughed and laughed and told me she named herself. Now, I didn't know that was an option. And it kinda got me thinking? Like hey, maybe I need a new name too. Something to get me away from all the stupid, stuck up aristocrats I live with. Anyway, Jupiter invited me out to all these clubs and activities I didn't wanna do. Well. I liked the debate club, actually. It was nice, and it gave me a place to lash out a bit. The coach was impressed that I got the hang of it so quickly. Maybe I'll like it there. We'll see.
ENTRY FIVE
Mercury. Yeah, I like the sound of that. Mercury and Jupiter, working together to create something out-of-this-world. I've come out of my box so much since I met them. We started ripping our uniforms and adding patches, and not giving a damn when the administration got after us. It's self expression in a place that crushes that kind of stuff. And I know I called Jupiter annoying, but jeez, is she cute. Annoying too, though. We're debate partners now. We work in a partnered event. I spent the whole season doing solo stuff, but they convinced me, so I'll have to see how we do as a competitive team. I think good things are coming, though. I know my dad would like to pretend I don't exist. I know he sent me here to not think about me for a while. I know that when I get back, he'll open his arms wide and smile his fake business smile and hope that I've grown into the striking young lady he always wanted me to be. But I don't care, cause I'm not that. Going to this school is the best thing that ever happened to me, and if he won't accept me after all these years, me and Juni already have plans to move in together. Oh yeah, Juni is what I call Jupiter sometimes. They hate it. I find it funny. Okay, until the next update, diary. And thanks. For listening.
//Trivia.
- Originally had brown hair. It has been bleached and dyed so many times over a bathroom sink that it might stay cotton candy blue forever.
- Speaking of hair, Mercury's hair texture is entirely due to how damaged it is. It does make a great mohawk though.
- The youngest child of the heir to the Bianchi family fortune: Salvatore Bianchi.
- Sometimes they just lie for fun. They can be convincing, especially when they bring up fake articles.
- Definitely starts debates on Twitter.

SKILLS
HOBBIES
//Design notes.
- Right now, the outfit is very much a WIP. I have included little patches and pins for all kinds of things, but I don't mind additions or alterations.
- The patch on their chest is a love pentagram from the band HIM, specifically the one from Funeral of Hearts.
- They have two eyebrow piercings, a bridge piercing, an industrial on one ear, and an earring at the top of the other ear.
- Many of the Bianchis are identifiable by their red eyes, and they are one of them.

WINNER
Conan Gray
All you ever wanted was to fight, I was only tryin' to survive your chaos.
Well look at how it's paid off.
Cause' there's no one who ever has done better at making me feel worse.
Now you really are the winner.
THE FAMILY JEWELS
Marina and The Diamonds
Ooh, don't you find it strange?
Only thing we share is one last name.
Did I beat you at your own game?
Typical of me to put us all to shame.
//Related.
Jupiter Morgan
Joyfriend
Mercury's best friend and lifelong partner. You'll rarely see one without the other. The pair were the National Champions at last year's debate tournament, and have a legacy to uphold as a pair that perfectly builds off of one another.
Antonella Bianchi
Sister
The sibling of theirs they actually like. Mercury and Antonella haven't spoken in a while, and Mercury does still hold a bit of anger against her, but they have the chance to reconnect and forgive. They miss her more than anyone else from their home.
Luca Bianchi
Brother
Despite being so close in age, these two despise one another. Mercury and Luca have views that clash at each interval. It doesn't seem like the two have ever agreed on anything at all. Mercury thinks he's a stuck up prick who loves to be a bootlicker.
