Nawa grew up in an orphanage in the riverside town of Bangkau, until he was adopted at the age of six by an owlin bookbinder. As a child, Nawa faced bullying from her peers due to his struggles in the classroom. As such, he is sensitive to the plight of the underdog, and has little patience for anyone who punches down. She joined the alagad with a vow to help and uplift those in need.

Nawa is slightly on the quiet and contemplative side, although diligent when it comes to her work and improving his skills as an alagad. He has some trouble navigating social situations, but is fiercely loyal to those he comes to know and regard as friends and allies.
