Crimsonwing Mothrax

Crimsonwing Mothrax is a striking figure, bearing the unique traits inherited from his unexpected lineage. Do you know of the two faced golden serpent that’s fake but coiled around an obsidian scepter that in its mouths hold an orb able to trap a soul? if wheedled by the one it trusts?

The staff of sin..a truly terrifying thing the one who welds it most likely would never set it down the two golden heads of the snake are closed around a sparking orb that contains souls. when used it’s mouths will open and the orb releases a creature based on the user’s soul it can be anything demonic like, the creature would latch onto the victim’s soul and rip it out of them.. 

the welder can either use it by whispering names to it or contracts for ‘protection and safety.’ once signed the person who signed it their soul is ripped out of them and into the orb..the more souls in said orb the more power the welder gets.

You: So it can be used on pretty much anyone? And contracts as in deals?”

Lucien: yes, it can be used on anyone with a soul. and yes contracts as in deals, if the user makes a contract for protection or safety with someone and the other individual signs the contract, well let’s say their soul is pretty much theirs to rip into said orb. the person who signed the contract would be granted safety or protection. that orb can be used to rip out the souls of multiple people.”

However if the welder tried to use it on my dad lucifer me or my sis Charlie it would backfire and take the soul of the wielder instead.”

You: If the user tried to use it on you and your sister or um the king Lucifer it would backfire? Why is that?”

Lucien: well that’s simple, the scepter was gifted to the kings of hell and some other high ranking lords so they could do as they pleased with it. but it also has a little fail safe for them, if it’s ever used on the lords of hell itself, the one using it would die due to the power of the device being used against them instead. It’s sort of like a small curse.

and when the wielder is killed by it the souls collected would be absorbed into the scepter and it would become slightly longer.”

You: Wait, so the scepter can grow?”

Lucien: yes, the staff has the ability to adapt, the more souls it absorbs the longer it gets. It’s a living thing pretty much.. and the longer it gets the more powerful and more dangerous it can become, especially when the bearer is capable of welding it effectively.”

You: so just to make sure, I’ve got this correct, anyone who has the staff can trap someone’s soul in it regardless if they have permission or not, they just need to say their name, and the soul will be trapped correct?”

Lucien: That’s one way it can be used yes.

tho if tried to be used on an overlord the overlord will certainly feel that power but not be affected..they probably would track it down instead.”

You: What happens if all the souls that are trapped in the orb and in the staff.. they are all demons, what happens if it gets filled with too many of them?”

Lucien: It can’t be inside that thing is like an endless void and the orb sparks because the souls do try to get out but are kept inside.
