Ex-Prince Blizzard

Potentional TW: This character in context of his story/world is bigoted, racist and a eugenicist. I do not believe in or approve of what this character is written to be, he is a villain in this story and will get what he deserves.

Personality:  

Blizzard is very self-absorbed and thinks of himself as the righteous savior of the Icewing tribe, believing he will restore the tribe to the height of their power nearly a millennia ago. He is discriminatory against the other dragon tribes, seeing Icewings as superior. He especially hates hybrids, and Icewing hybrids even more so, viewing them as impure and tainting "pure" bloodlines. The only times he will tolerate a hybrid is if using them would be of his benefit, such as bringing more animus dragons under his command. He only treats pure Icewings as equals. He acts very cool and calculated but the moment someone says no to him or something doesn't go his way he lashes out violently. If he finds someone who is gullible or easily swayed he becomes very manipulative. He does not respect others boundaries. He has surrounded himself with yes men which only inflates his ego. He leads his Icewing insurgency with an iron fist, casting out any who are unloyal or hesitant to follow.

Appearance:

Blizzard is an icy blue dragon with scales that have a sheen like polished marble. He has a very slim and jagged build, as if poking him could draw blood. Notable physical features are the teardrop/diamond shaped scales under his eyes and a large, long, prominent scar that spans from his collarbone to his belly. This scar is from his mother, queen of the Icewings, when he attempted and failed a coup d'état. He has some accessories including silver horn caps embedded with spessartine garnet gemstones. He also has a spessartine earring, this earring has been animus-touched but the enchantment is unknown. The most eye-catching accessory he has is a necklace of large dragon teeth. While Blizzard has not stated whose teeth they are, whether they be from multiple dragons or just one, many of the icewings following him spread rumors of them being Darkstalker's teeth. 

Other: 

Blizzard is the leader of a fringe group of Icewings that split off from the main Icewing tribe. He founded this group based on his extreme and bigoted beliefs, that of Icewing superiority but only those that are deemed to be "pure-blooded." Both Blizzard and the Icewings that follow him loathe the Nightwings. They also see other tribes as inferior and do not trust them. The only tribe they don't hold animosity for is the Sandwings as they have always been an Icewing ally, and now secretly support his insurgency. Blizzard's goal is to bring the Icewing tribe back to the full power it has during Darkstalker's rain nearly a thousand years ago, before they surrendered to the Nightwings. He also wants to restore the Circle ranking system the Icewings had before Darkstalker abolished it. Blizzard believes that dragon society should switch to a patriarchy rather than the current matriarchy. 

Despite Darkstalker having brought the Icewings to such power before, Blizzard despises him. He thinks Darkstalker was foolish for allowing the animus gene to be proliferated throughout the common folk, and to other tribes. He hated how Darkstalker encouraged hybrids and abolished the Circle ranking system. He can't fathom how an individual as powerful as Darkstalker, with his future seeing, mind-reading, and animus immortality, could fumble and be defeated by the Nightwings. He blames Darkstalker for the fall of the Icewings, believing if it was a pure Icewing animus the Icewings would still be in power (this is not true).

Blizzard grew up in the Icewing palace, raised by his mother Queen Avalanche and his father king Frost alongside his six siblings. He is the second-born child of Avalanche, meaning all his siblings are younger except his older brother Prince Caspian.  He was always selfish and arrogant but it was always manageable by his family until he became an adult. He was taught a watered down version of Icewing history by his parents, until when he came of age (18) they told the full truth about Darkstalker, Icewings, and Nightwings. He learned of just how expansive and powerful the former Icewing empire was and this lit a spark of misplaced ambition inside him. Over the next five years his twisted beliefs developed and grew and he began to convert other similar minded Icewings to his cause. Once he gathered what he believed to be a strong enough force he lead his followers against his mother in a coup attempt to take the thrown, believing the Icewings needed a "proper" king and he was to be it. This coup d'état failed and left him scarred, (now Ex-Prince) Blizzard and his followers were chased out and exiled from the Ice Kingdom. They took refuge on the fringes of the Ice and Sand kingdoms, building their forces. Blizzard began to allow Sandwings and a handful of hybrids into his troupe in order to grow enough numbers for his next plan.

Eventually the insurgent's numbers grew enough for Blizzard to attempt his new plan. He lead the entirety of his forces against the Night Kingdom, using many animus enchanced artifacts and troops to his advantage. Caught entirely unprepared the Nightwings failed to stop them from reaching the Nightwing palace. The Nightwing queen, Andromeda, went out to face the insurgents directly and was killed in the battle. Despite this achievement the Icewing insurgents were greatly outnumbered and pushed back by the Nightwing army. Defeated, Blizzard left with his forces in order to devise the next phase of his plan. The Nightwings were left in shambles after the death of their queen, nearly causing a civil war between the many princesses before an mysterious nightwing animus named Mythcrafter took it upon herself to become the new queen, killing her rivals.

Pyrrhia is left in political disarray after Blizzard's actions, allowing him to continue his crusade unabetted. During this time an exiled Icewing-Nightwing hybrid named Midnight was rescued by Blizzard's brother Penguin (the sole animus in Blizzard's gang) and he brought her before Blizzard. Midnight tried to dissuade the exiled prince from continuing his "rebellion" but instead Blizzard extended an offer for her to join him, as she would be a powerful asset as an animus. Midnight declined, and feeling threatened by the Icewings she escaped by fighting them off, leaving Blizzard with yet another adversary to contend with. During the fight Blizzard attacked Penguin for refusing to hurt Midnight and for talking back to him, this caused Penguin to flee from Blizzard's gang and switch to Midnight's side.
