Arturo's childhood friend, Refuge was a partner in crime as she and Arturo went around. She specialized in scamming rich tourists and was the muscle of the group. Because of her, both of them were able to travel from island to island. After Arturo stole and ate a Devil Fruit, Refuge broke off from him, telling him that she enlisted in the Marines. She abandoned him on their last island and went up the ranks to Petty Officer.
