Knave Atropa

A man born in a far away city, there's nothing big to drive home about Knave's upbringing. He was raised by a single dad and had a normal and mundane childhood. From his father, he earned his passion for astronomy, going to college in hopes of studying the cosmos far away from the earth. He excelled at his class, and had his life well put together. However, fate had other plans.

He truly can't recall this event well, — and mainly chooses not to divulge on it.— on an eclipse night, a snake approached him and bit him. And for some unexplained reason, the creature and him switched eyes. Snake eyes are physically incapable of seeing stars, and due to this switch, Knave also gained that issue. Such a dear thing to him had been ripped away, not even that, his career depended on this ability. So, he kept the snake, clinging to the slimmer of chance that he would be able to gain his old eyes back.

He became obsessive with his research, neglecting any other part of his life. However, nothing worked, the snake layed a clutch of eyes and subsequently passed away. From this clutch of eggs, only one of them was able to live past infancy, this being Kayak. With his life before this event feeling like a distant memory, Knave seems to have clung onto this one snake as a sort of life boat. Choosing to run away from what remained of his life in his home town and moving to a small apartment in Natura.

Now, he simply gets by in life, trying to make the most out of it and avoiding thinking about any memories that might make him a little bit sad —just a little bit though, he promises!—
