About
The craftswoman of the operation.
Once upon a time, in the country of Aswait, upnorth of the Kingdom of Loathing. There used to live there a whole new nation, with on top of the hierarchy the royal family of Thorton, the most influencing trador across the seas and providor of food for the entire country. Our protagonist of the story was the eldest of four children, all boys and girls combined. As such, she was considered as the figure of example; the perfect girl that everyone should take example on. Everything was organized and perfect for the princess of this royal family, even her future husband, while she reached the pinacle of 19. But the princess felt skeptical about such decision. Not that she didn't have the chioce, but deep inside her, she felt as if this man she was going to marry was not the right one destined to her. That maybe, now she was truly contemplating her solutions, that maybe she wanted to have a princess as a future spouse, and possibly not a prince?
It all was so confusing for the princess, at this right moment. But to the rest of the family, it was a reason of high treason and conspiracy against the Thorton bloodline. And conspiracy to murder did happen behind her back! If she did not eavsdrop that night, at her parents' masterroom that night, who knew what would've happened to the princess! Thankfully, after hearing the grim schemes of her family, she escaped her house by night, and was never seen in Aswait since then. It was rumoured, however, that she escaped with a departing regal ship that got attacked the next morning by a pirate crew. The Thorton family, considering their plan to execution, gave up tracking the princess... not before one of her necklaces was found in the abandoned ship, testifying that she indeed attempted to escape the island, and thus a scouting team was sent across the seas to find her.
Meanwhile, stranded in the sea, the princess got acquainted with that pirate crew that abducted her and actually befriended them. They told her that they were planning on going to Seaside Town, and that she should practice Saucery, just like them: the Saucy Sailors! Once the ship arrived, the princess rapidly took contact with the League of Chef-Magi and got taken in as a Sauceror, under a brand new name. Thus was also the brand new start for our protagonist: Marjolaine Alfredo.
Over the six years she will spend at the Kingdom of Loathing, she will complete her Sauceror degree, get her licence, make new friends, and run errands for the Council as an Adventurer, to save grands for her rent. Oh, and escape from the royal guards of Aswait that would try to bring her back to the country, but that was just an extra she could avoid.
One day, she was sent on a new mission with her sidekick to take down a formidable foe that only her could accomplish... a gigantic blob of mixed up sauces was taking over the country of Aswait! Though feeling first reluctant, Marjolaine ended up accepting the quest, in the honor of her people. She goes out to defeat the gigantic blob as intended, and gets to return to the Kingdom of Loathing after that.
However, rumours were running in Aswait that their saviour was no other than... their missing princess?! Taken aback by such news, the royal family ordered the Council of Loathing to arrest her for attempted regicide, that she would allegedly commit during her quest in their own territory (which was no more than a frame up!). Under the Council's legislation, Marjolaine was arrested for attempted genocide and got charged with the death penalty for that. There is no time to waste now for Marjolaine- she had to escape if she wanted to live on and face her family, for the treason and dishonor she suffered from. Hopefully, with her adventuring squad by her side, she will be able to escape easily and face her demons once more, now she tamed them in the past. With her newly found love and her potionmaking, nothing should come in the way of her new life she aspires to follow.

Combat
Marjolaine relies on her newly acquired skills as a Sauceress to get her way through fighting. She deals most of the area damage of the whole team, and doesn't hesitate to pull out the big guns (well, the big flasks for her case) when necessary. Due to her time in a pirate crew, she also learnt how to wield a weapon, and can be pretty dangerous with a scimitar in her hands.

Initially, Marjolaine had her own doubts in life. She was feeling insecure about a lot of things; but hopefully, her curious mind led her to escape the routine and explore new horizons, which also helped her develope her personality and define her biggest traits, which are her overly overboard stubborn nature, as well as her big heart which dictates her to always be honest about everything she says, even if sometimes, the truth hurts.
Sometimes, it may happen to her that she takes a step back, whether just to contemplate or reflect on her own thought-making, but that never stopped her to enjoy her life to the fullest. Even in the toughest of moments, it feels as if nothing can really stop her at all! She never steps back from a challenge and takes everything at heart, ready to hurt herself in the process if need had to be. She takes most of the initiatives along Liz in her adventuring squad, and despite her loudness of spirit at times, everyone around her knows she only means well.

- When using her sword, she is actually pretty skilled -- she claims having those methods from the Saucy Sailors, during her adventures in seas.
- So, indeed, that makes her a pirate... though more at heart rather than in practice.
- Her name is also a play of words with food items: Marjolaine being the French translation of "Marjoram", and Alfredo after the aformentioned sauce.
- As it may have been suggested in the "About" section... her real name is not Marjolaine Alfredo, but Sally Thorton. So, the eldest princess of Aswait that went missing.
- Her favorite poitions to makes are the explosive spicy ones. God knows why.

This is the terrible Sauceblob, the amalgam of leftover mystical gravies and dressings that, rejected from the Source, have joined this terrible collective, as per taught during her time at the League of Chef-Magi. Few know its true name, and none that do dare to speak it aloud... this is why it is known only as "Lumpy". Still, despite its whimsical name, it is a terrible foe ahead! As proof, it invaded the country of Aswait and intended to hold its terrible sauce slime convention at the convention centre of the country, with only one plan in mind: world domination! Pretty cliché indeed, but whatelse was there to expect from literally a living blob of moving, rotten sauce? Although she already defeated it, Marjolaine still feels bummed that it's the proxy reason behind her frame-up.
It was during the time she was still questioning herself that she fell upon this eerie looking catgirl, as she was practicing her potionmaking in the Desert Beach. The day they would exchange numbers would also be the day they will start being paired up more and more often for missions, whether intentionally or not, starting with the fight against Lumpy. Through all those years they knew each other, fought along each other and hung out together, Marjolaine had the answer she wanted. And once she had gathered the courage to confess her love to Ava, they both went "why the fuck not?", and it rapidly clicked between each other! Thus how they started dating. Yes, it is in fact Alan Walker, no other than the Kingdom-wide known DJ that hit the top 50 for 4 years now! He is also Ava's twin brother that she lost sight of since her captivity in that laboratory, when they were children. Alan's dedication to recontact her again, through his music, truly touched her from the inside, and since their first encounter, Marjolaine gets free snippets of his newest tracks with Ava, as a sign of gratitude for being the tying knot in the two siblings' reunion.
First encountered in prison, Maggie never lets go of Liz ever since. They always stick up together, always ready for mischief everywhere they go together. They are truly an unstoppable duo together; proof being, it is thanks to Marjolaine's shapeshifting potion that Lise successfully sneaks everywhere she desires, always within the timeframe of the effects. Outside that, they love to spread shenanningans amongst the group, just to lift the mood of the members. Which is highly appreciated.
It is known from times immemorial that Pastamancers and Saucerors are always to collaborate with each other, in the greater scheme of the Cuisine Witchcraft. The Marjolaine and Nigel duo is no exception: with the former's saucemaking and the latter's noodles coming to play, the two of them are a deadly match against every of their opponents. They also complete each other perfectly: with Marjolaine's boost of confidence, Nigel progressively believes in his capacities even more and only moves on forward. Hell, at this point, she would've called him her little brother if she wanted to!
