He's very quiet and judgmental of Pink Rose's (if they were human, they would technically be half-siblings) antics. Won't put up with Pink's shit. Wants to change Rosebrook or destroy it. Has a soft voice.
Tries to be kind and understanding. That's kinda hard considering his circumstances. Takes his role as Goldie's caretaker very seriously.
But can have a bit of an obsessive streak.
A son of Roses, Vi started more or less corrupt as the others. Humans were only to be seen as food, the other Rose castes were to be judged on purity, and you were to be the best or you were done for.
However, even before his change, Violet Rose never felt the need to impose his authority. His Rosebrook (DN 8535) was a well-oiled machine that ran itself if he was willing to overlook some of the more seedy underbelly. For that reason, he was picked by Holy Rose (at the suggestion of Pink Rose) to oversee the young Yellow Rose. The Rose was plucked too early due to a file error when the previous Yellow Rose was corrupted and thus has the mental capacity of a young human child.
He was to watch her, and Pink Rose was to take over his Rosebrook after hers went poof (he was told later that event was caused by a power implosion), saving her skin from being pruned.
Not being told anything straight up, and a natural curiosity led Violet to start looking into town files and any anomalies carefully noted by the Rose's record keeper. One such anomaly was an entire Rosebrook wiped out by a zombie virus. This dimension, DN 8648, had old cassette tapes left behind (in his closet of all places) by the town's radio hostess, Cassandra Newmaker.
He developed a sort of obsession with her and was devastated to reach the end of the tapes where she would meet her untimely demise.
However, when at the town's library looking for more records, he ran into his dimension's Cassandra Newmaker. While he was skeptical at first (she was kind of clueless about things that would seem odd to others, such as the library being empty during the day), the two would strike up a bond.
She was special, he could tell, though he didn’t know why.
- Vio is the only Rose who tried sleeping only because Cassandra wanted to cuddle, however he stayed awake the whole time.
- Is able to use someone's fear against them if they piss him off enough.
- Is able to speak and sing backward.
- His Rose Core is a complicated back tattoo. The tattoo extends to his arms which is why he wears long sleeves. The arm vines can dig into his skin and draw blood.

- Beware the Nice One Is capable of dishing out punishment if he thinks the circumstances demand it, though he prefers using it as a last resort.
