Hywel is a king cheetah in his late 50s and is head of the royal guard for the kingdom of Solspine. He is the oldest knight and soldier in the force, making him a reputable and honored leader. He is missing claws on all his paws but his front right due to events he refuses to talk about so he keeps his remaining claws intensely sharp.

He is a stoic man due to his rank but he’s also very sarcastic, cracking dry humor jokes and jabs at others, and seems to take jokes well in return. He can be a bit snarky, having trouble keeping his displeased emotions from showing on his face. Having a bit of a problem going along with things he disagrees with, due to him usually finding them stupid or worthless, he will snap back or outright roll his eyes at such things.

But he’s a kind man to those he cares for, enjoying telling any dad joke he hears with a laugh and will buy those he likes gifts but act like it's not a big deal.
