I ruined a perfectly good dragonborn. Look at them, they've got anxiety. (Slightly rebooted/rewritten from when I originally played them.)

Azar grew up as the shy, timid twin to bold, brash Azure. Azar was always a sensitive person, especially when they were a child. Living in a town where dragonborn were a minority, they were bullied for their shyness and rather goofy appearance as a lanky lizard with comically large glasses. Despite Azure's efforts to protect them, Azar was repeatedly taken advantage of by "friends" and closed themself off more and more as they got older.

Azar's parents hated seeing their child suffer, so they suggested that they leave home to attend a cleric's school. The Lagorios weren't especially religious, but they believed that Lathander, god of dawn and renewal, would help Azar cope with their situation. (Azure eventually got roped into going to school with them to keep them company.) Azar constantly acted out and planned on running away from the temple. However, when they snuck outside one morning, they were struck by the beauty of a new dawn and felt the welcoming warmth of the rising sun. Azar felt like they had been truly blessed with a chance to start over by Lathander himself. Azar went back, tired of feeling apathetic. They wanted to feel better, so they studied hard and became a devout Lathanderite. They wanted to heal their heart and learn to heal others. Azar matured to adulthood and became a fully-fledged cleric, choosing “Star” as their Dawnbringer name.

• Never outgrew the teenage cranky pissed-off personality (but it really only shows when they're alone)
• Sick of being a doormat but too afraid to speak up
• Their healthiest method of expressing their anger is by chopping wood during early mornings/late nights
• Following the Forgotten Realms calendar, their birthday is Ches 3 (I made them on March 3)
