I shouldn't have died there.

you remember dying, first and foremost. flashes of panic and marching from the horizon. fighting for your land right alongside your men. you were farmers then, still a farmer now. but visions of culled flesh and harvested blood haunts you when you blink. these hands were unfit for bloodshed, and yet..

you remember living, later on. the bone deep satisfaction of tending to the fields. the warm smile your wife offered as she called you away for lunch. surprised laughter as your son tackled you to the ground at the porch. you'd toss him to the air with content, muddied hands. she'd always complained about the mess afterwards, but she'd never stopped you, had she?

you remember waking, after it all.. to unfamiliar skies and empty horizons. to memories of being desecrated in that battle field. to clear signs of love that is lost. (the handle of your offering taunts you with familiarity. you remember passing her the blade, warning your son to stay safe. you were gripping it so tight back then. now the grip feels hollow.)

his arthropod species are Javanese Leaf Insect (Phyllium pulchrifolium) and Confused Woodgrain Moth (Morrisonia confusa).
his plant species are Sirih Gading (Epipremnum aureum)(N'Joy Pothos) and Kamboja Merah(Plumeria Rubra).
his offering is a kujang, a traditional Sundanese bladed weapon commonly used for warfare, agriculture, rites, and a symbol of spiritual strength. It symbolizes the strength and bravery needed to protect what's right. Taro doesn't know if it's karma or irony that his continues to blind him in the afterlife.

trivia

his nickname came from a kid who couldn't pronounce his name right and called him taro because of his color pallette. he's very hesitant to use his real name.

he is often seen with his offering lodged in his hair rather than his casket. it's more convenient, his offering's curved blade often hooks behind his jaw, limiting his ability to speak.

his scars are the same as the ones he had when he was alive. His caskets were the major wounds he'd gotted right before he died.
