Reborn in fire and brimstone many, many years ago, Callista is a crossroads demon of ambiguous reknown. She is whispered to be one of the few who don't necessarily deal in souls, and will consider anything in equal value to what you ask of her. Her moods are capricious; her wants, mysterious. Only one thing is clear: she has a soft spot for bookish witches.

Callista is of Greek descent. She has long, wavy dark brown hair that reaches mid-back, and is just a few shades shy of black. Her eyes are a deep brown, her skin is olive-toned, and her brows are thin and always well-maintained. Callista has a curvy hourglass figure with a large bust, and is on the chubby side. She often wears make up in the form of mascara, eyeliner, and lipstick; the rest of her face is often kept more 'natural,' although she may wear a bolder look for special occasions.

She is always dressed impeccably, (although sometimes a bit suggestively), but she never has a hair out of place. Blacks and reds tend to be favored by her. She is never seen without the necklace around her neck.

Callista can hold a grudge, and will do so readily. You don't want to get on her bad side.

Not a whole lot surprises her anymore, and fewer still manage to impress her.

Callista was born an aristocratic human woman in the time of Ancient Greece. She lead a mediocre life, married to a man whom she didn't love, until one day that man made the wrong choices. It led to her untimely demise, falsely accused of a crime she did not commit, and her anger at being wrongly killed was enough to consume her and turn her into a demon.

She exacted her revenge, and for the first century of her life spent it fulfilling the revenge plots of other mortals in exchange for souls. Just as she was beginning to make a name for herself in the demon world, she met Nailah.

Gods, Nailah. Fierce, headstrong, and unafraid of her. A powerful witch in her own right. They fell in love, and Nailah wanted to spend all of eternity with her. She sold her soul to another demon for the knowledge, and attempted to give herself immortality...

Only for it to fail. Nailah died in the attempt, leaving behind her familiar, Maahes. Callista was devastated, and spent many millenia angry, jaded, and trying to find purpose in life. Over the millenia, she was haunted by the loss of her love, and even swore that she met the woman in the form of a next life on a few occasions. This, of course, was met with ridicule and dismissal.

Enter Gwendolyn Nolan. A witch who can barely form her own summoning circle, she calls on Callista to strike a deal with her for more powerful magicks. Callista agrees, sensing something in Gwendolyn that is akin to Nailah. Now they work together with an arrangement of sorts, with Callista trying to uncover why she feels so drawn to this witch.

-Callista's abilities include teleportation (appears / disappears in a plume of black smoke), switching between a human and more demonic form at will, and growing claws that can slice even diamonds.
-She has been known to be a demon or a vampire, depending on the setting, but her backstory is usually the same.
-Callista has a very slight Greek lilt to her voice, difficult to place unless you actively listen for it.
